Hello. I am offering my restored no expense spared 1979 Factory Starlight Black and Gold Trans Am. This is a Pontiac Registry Documented Car. it was ordered with the WS6 Package (4 wheel Disc Brakes deep dish rims and Road and track). T tops in Starlight Black with Camel Hobnail interior. This car may be actually rarer than a Special Edition or Bandit because it was ordered with everything that is on a SE but without the SE designation. I found the car 3 years ago in California and it had been sitting since the late 80's on the side of a house. The paint was sun faded all the way to primer in most spots with the decals just a hint of existence. The interior was completely dry rotten from the sun and the dash was frozen at 43. 00 miles. The owner said it had 43k original miles and when I checked DMV and it had not been on the road since the 80's I believed it. I than had the car taken all the way to metal and all dings. dents hammered out and straitened and a new skin put on the passenger door since it looked like it had been backed into every day for 20 years. This car has been in California and now Nevada its whole life and has zero rust. The bare metal was covered with several coats of acid etching rust bullet sealer and than several coats of primer. The entire car was than hand blocked to a perfectly smooth finish before applying more primer and than finally the Starlight Black Paint and color sanding and buffing. This type of Paint and body costs more than 10k to do correctly. The Factory Decals are all new and look like the week it was purchased. The interior was restored to factory finish with all new seats. and finish panels at a cost of over 5k. It costs a lot of money to make that disco 70's interior new again. I originally was going to pull the motor and rebuild but my mechanic said it was the cleanest motor he had seen internally in a long time. and since id do believe it had less than 45k miles and the compression was to spec. I decided to just have the seals replaced and painted and carb rebuilt. The AC compressor is new but the motor under dash recently quit. Honestly Inever have it on. I always have the T-tops off when I drive it. The tires. brakes. shocks. fuel system front to back including tank are all new. This car smogged no problem in California but is registered classic now in Nevada. These cars are climbing in price and they are meeting the reserves at auction every time. I have been enjoying this car for about a year and it drives and handles like a dream. I have priced it to sell . You could not buy one of these and restore it even close to  the asking price. I know because I build 3 or four cars a year and I have more than that in the car and most of the work was done by myself and my personal mechanics.  Too many cars in my garage and no room to work so I am letting a few go to new homes.  Please message me any questions.  I have the car listed locally in Las Vegas so I have the right to pull the listing at any time.
