Plymouth : Barracuda Hemi Cuda

 1970 Hemi Cuda Recreation is the product of an original 1973 Barracuda 318 C. I. automatic with AC from NC with no rust. no bondo. no replacement panels. This recreation started as clean. rust free. original paint and sheet metal 1973 Barracuda that was worthy of a Hemi! So in 2000 the process began by obtaining a Mopar Performance 472 C. I. 525 HP Crate Hemi Engine and a Hemi K-Frame. A Mopar muscle car mechanic completed this job. The main obstacle was hooking up the AC using the original evaporator. condenser etc. Had to remove the RV2 compressor and replace with a smaller new Mopar C171. Every attempt was made to take the 1973 Barracuda and transform this clean car into a 1970 Hemi Cuda. The bumpers were replaced with the 1970 bumpers. the decals were pulled off replacing with the 1970 Hockey Stick decal package. the K-frame was upgraded to a Hemi K-Frame. Brake booster was changed out to fit the Hemi. rear end was upgraded to a 3:23 and new leaf springs and the front end received a new Moog suspension parts with larger torsion bars etc. Two obvious outside items that were not changed on the Barracuda that give up the fact that it is not a 1970 are the side markers and grill. This barracuda has had all systems gone thru mechanically. electrically and everything rebuilt or replaced. This is a very fast hi-performance muscle-car with many upgrades which makes it run great. drive great and look great especially with the 15" Ralleye Wheels. Domes and Trim Rings and P225-70R15 Goodyear Eagle GTII Tires. Drive Train Components: Mopar Performance 472CI 525HP Crate Hemi Engine. TTI Headers and 3" Exhaust Tips. Griffith Alum Black Anodized 4 Core Radiator. Reproduction Hemi Crossmember. 727 Auto Big Block Transmission. 10" Turbo Action Torque Converter. Power Front Disc Brakes. 8 3/4 Posi 3:23 Rear end. AC. Power Steering. Interior worth mentioning: Ralleye Dash with Tach. Slap Stick Auto Trans with Console. Perfect Black Interior. Trunk is good with spare tire. Instrument Panel gauges work. Wipers and lights work. AC blows cold. tires are 10 years old but have a lot of tread. Runs and Drives Great! Show and GO!
