This is a 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ70. It was never built in the United States. Actual VIN is JT0BJ7009000627. It wasn't originally meant for the US Market. The odometer is set in KM and its at about 396 thousand. Its a daily driver so the number will go up as time goes on. Doing the math. its at about 277000 miles. It gets about 25-30mpg depending on how you drive it. This is a 6 cylinder Naturally Aspirated Diesel Engine. Not a 4 cylinder. I do have some paperwork for it for maintenance that is in either Dutch or German. This diesel runs great and has no problems at all. I've driven it from Vermont to Michigan without any problems at all. The transmission is also in great shape and holds great. I've listed all problems with the vehicle up above and as to my knowledge I haven't left anything out. I do have some great recommendations as to where to get a new windshield for a great price and I've spoken to a few auto body shops about the rust and all have said there isn't any worry and the whole thing can be restored for $5-10K depending on if you want to keep it stock or turn it into an off road champion because that's what I wanted to do with it.  I bought this car as a daily driver/project car. Unfortunately. I don't have nearly enough time to play with it as I thought I did. I'm not very familiar with diesel engines either and don't have time to learn. I bought this from a man in Vermont who had it shipped over from Belgium. He had bought it a couple years ago from a government auction there who had leased them out to the United Nations. That is the reasoning for the black paint job. The radio was stolen out of the car by the people who worked on the ship that the truck was sent over on. It has fresh tires and all lights work accordingly. I'm sure I left something out. so if you have any questions at all please feel free to ask. The reserve is set at what I think is a pretty low price compared to other auctions of the same vehicle. I've seen a few in worse condition going for more. If the reserve isn't met then whoever is closest I'm sure we can work out a deal. I'm more interested in this vehicle going to a good home and seeing the end product of what they decide to do with it. Once again please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all so I can help you with your decision to bid. Pick-up/ship at buyer's expense. $500 down payment do within 24 hours.
