This is an un-restored and very well preserved. super cool 1977 Dodge Tradesman 200 original Custom Van. This is the only 1970's Custom Van in an Extended version that I have ever seen. There has been only One Owner since new. and this Van has 78. 94 original miles.

 

This Van has the unique distinction of being a Grand Spaulding Dodge Custom Van. For more than forty years. Mr Norms Grand Spaulding Dodge in Illinois has been a uniquely recognized Dodge /Chrysler Dealership specializing in custom and performance vehicles. Ask any diehard Mopar enthusiast about them. Grand Spaulding was to Dodge very much like Yenko was Chevrolet. or Shelby was to Ford. and this Van is in fact - a Grand Spaulding original.

 

I believe the exterior of this Van is nearly all original. including all of the custom graphics and the yellow paint. (We had the brown fiberglass flares and trim removed and refinished. which is the only paint or cosmetic work performed on this entire Van. ) The body is very straight and clean without ant dents or scratches and only very minor imperfections. The graphics are somewhat faded. but the paint is very shiny over the entire body and not faded out. The bumpers are in great shape as well. and there is no accident or body damage history. There isn't any body rust visible on any of the painted exterior. and the undercarriage is also in nice shape. This Dodge was garaged when not in use. which really made a big difference in the condition of this Van.

 

This Van is equipped with the 360ci V8 engine transmission. air conditioning. cruise control. and pop-up sunroof. The engine idles smoothly and runs strong. and the transmission shifts very well. I drove this Van 26 miles back to our places. and got lots of looks and thumbs up – and not just from hippies. The exhaust system was original and in need or attention. so we had the dual exhaust system fully replaced from the manifolds back. but it still has the nice 70's tone. The air conditioning works very well. and the original AM/FM 8-Track stereo sounds really good. We also changed the oil & filter and the air filter. This Van is ready for immediate pick up.

 

The interior of this Van is in outstanding. original condition. All of the bucket seats swivel and are in excellent condition. The rear bench seat also converts to a bed. There are two removable tables. as well as a bar with refrigerator and a working sink. The shag carpeting is clean. fluffy and not matted down or worn anywhere.

 

This Custom Van is not restored. and is essentially unchanged from when it was customized at Grand Spaulding Dodge. This is the quintessential example of a 70's Custom Van. and this one has been really well treated and maintained. And this Van is one that you can actually pickup and drive home. and is reliable enough to use on a regular basis.

 

There just can't be many (if any) original classic custom Vans with the provenance or condition of this one. Add this Van to your car collection. relive your past. use it for parades. or even take it on vacation. Cheech & Chong would be jealous of this one.

PAYMENT:

A 10% deposit (minimum $500) is due 24 hours of auction completion. We accept Paypal for the deposit only. The balance is due within seven days. Pickup of the vehicle is within ten days of auction completion.

The acceptable methods of payment are Bank Wire Transfer. Certified Bank Check. Direct Deposit or Cash in person. We do not offer financing. Deposit down payments are non refundable. We do not accept trade ins. Any guarantee offer for this vehicle will be voided if payments are not made according to terms.

WARRANTY:

This vehicle will be sold AS-IS with no warranty expressed or implied by the seller. However. the buyer will be offered the option to purchase an additional Extended Service Warranty for all applicable vehicles.

The title is guaranteed to be free and clear. There will be no liens or encumbrances on the title. The stated odometer reading is within +/- 500 miles.

PICK-UP:

Please check with us before scheduling your vehicle pickup.  We are not a retail dealership. so it is very important to coordinate your arrival with us before finalizing your plans. We are available from 8AM to 3PM weekdays. and are closed on weekends.

We are approximately 15-minutes from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). the Amtrak 30th Street Train Station. and the Greyhound Philadelphia Bus Station. We may be able to pick you up at any of these terminals. so please inquire if interested.

REGISTRATION. TITLES & FEES:

Out of state purchasers do not pay any Pennsylvania sales tax. A $60 fee will be added to the final sale price of each online transaction. which will cover document fees and preparation. notarizations. and courier costs.

Temporary Transit Tags are available through the state of PA for $60. which will provide valid registration for a period of 30 days. In order to obtain this tag. please provide proof of insurance for any vehicle that you presently own.

Titles are available to the buyer immediately upon full irrevocable payment. which is performed by bank wire transfer or cash in person. Otherwise. the title will be sent to you after your payments have cleared our bank. Occasionally. a title is still being processed by the state and we will issue free temporary registration until the title is received.

All vehicles we sell on eBay are stored in a separate secured facility and we require that all vehicles be picked up within ten days of auction completion. Storage charges after ten days will be charged at $15/day for cars. and more for trucks and larger vehicles depending on size. (Storage charges will not apply to vehicles scheduled for pickup by a transporter).

We will try to exercise some flexibility to accommodate special requests regarding our terms. if they are placed before the auction ends. We also sell vehicles locally and reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time.
