 1982 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Coupe

Heavily modified project car with lots of expensive performance parts. Selling due to significant changes in circumstance.   This project car is about 80% done. but the final 20% will never happen.  Tons of money invested. more than I would ever care to admit. Receipts available for the vast majority of parts purchased (transmission an exception. bought privately).

This car has been off the road since 2007 and was worked on consistently up until 2011. It has been started at least once every year since then. and the engine is hand-turned regularly.

·         Chevy 350 small block from 1979 Z28. casting number 3970010. bored 0. 030" over.

·         2 bolt mains with studs.

·         Factory crank turned 10 under.

·         Eagle aftermarket rods.

·         AFR Eliminator cylinder heads. casting number 0911.

·         Comp XR264HR retro-roller camshaft with hydraulic lifters. Roller fuel pump pushrod.

·         Comp pushrods. +. 100 length.

·         Summit stamped roller tip rockers.

·         Summit (made by Weiand) dual plane intake

·         Quadrajet M4ME carb

·         Melling high-volume oil pump

·         ZZ4 water pump

·         Estimated a genuine 375+ HP from the engine.

·         Engine does run but has never been tuned. at all. Strong idle vacuum despite no tune. nice high oil pressure too.

·         Hedman long tube headers. 1. 625" primaries. 3" secondaries. feeding into 3" X-pipe. Headers should be replaced soon.

·         Magnaflow 2. 5" turbo-style mufflers.

·         Dual over-axle tailpipes.

·         Tremec TKO 500 5-speed manual transmission.

·         Transmission bought used. All parts inspected for tolerances by transmission specialist. All new seals.

·         Centerforce dual-friction clutch.

·         Hays flywheel.

·         Factory steel driveshaft. shortened. new u-joints.

·         8. 5" 10 bolt rear diff from 1992 Roadmaster. new Richmond 3. 42 gears. factory LSD.

·         Upgraded 12" rotors up front (new). 1992 Roadmaster front knuckles.

·         Rear disc conversion using later model factory parts. New rear rotors.

·         Jeep Grand Cherokee 12. 7:1 quick ratio steering box.

·         New tie rod ends and turnbuckles.

·         Front suspension: all new lower control arm bushings. Uppers need replaced.

·         Rear suspension: all UMI Performance parts. Boxed lower control arms with poly bushings. adjustable upper control arms with spherical rod joints.

·         Edelbrock lowering springs (made by Eibach).

·         Edelbrock shocks.

·         Lots of other various new parts: parking brake cables. etc.

·         Tires are bald and need replaced.

·         A black trunk lid in excellent condition is included.

·         Body needs filler and repainted. Currently spray painted dark blue.

·         Frame should be treated and painted. No structural issues.

·         Not much actual "body rot" on this car. Rusty in places. of course.

·         All glass is intact.

·         Gas tank replaced with a good used unit. repainted and oiled to protect.

·         Seats in good shape. except for a large hole in one of the back seats.

·         Carpet is OK but likely won't fit with transmission tunnel modifications.

·         Floorboards were rusted but repaired.

·         Electric components work. but wiring needs attention due to installation of clutch pedal and minor relocation of fuse panel on firewall.

·         This auction is for the car itself. and a collection of spares and extra parts.

·         A large bin full of Quadrajets is included.

·         Car is guaranteed to be 99. 5% parts-complete. as it has been in various states of disassembly for over 7 years. Every effort will be made to include all parts for the car.

·         Almost all instruction sheets for everything purchased for the car is available. along with parts receipts. These will be included in the sale.

·         Buyer is completely responsible for removing the vehicle from its location in a safe. legal manner. with no destruction to property.
