Numbers Matching. NCRS 2nd Flight 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible. This Stingray was awarded 2nd Flight honors by the NCRS 2007 and is the product of an older restoration that shows in superbly kept condition throughout. It is finished in correct Goodwood Green with contrasting white stinger. a white vinyl soft top and Dark Green interior. Every effort was made to keep this Stingray as close to when it rolled off the St. Louis plant assembly line in January 1967. During the restoration. the aging original paint was professionally stripped and the body restored in correct Goodwood Green with superb panel gaps and fit. Likewise. all of the exterior chrome and brightwork. including the side-exit exhaust pipes and heat shields. were restored to factory luster. Inside the cabin. the original vinyl upholstery was replaced with correct dark green leather and new carpeting. The odometer shows 90. 62 miles. which are believed to be original and correct. As it was ordered. this Stingray was an extremely well-appointed Corvette that all starts with the number-matching 390hp 427ci big block V8 that is backed by a Muncie 4-Speed and Positraction rear end. The magnificent-sounding side pipes are factory correct. while the white stinger and white vinyl soft top were added during restoration to enhance this Stingray's killer look. It is a factory A/C car that also showcases power windows. push-button AM/FM radio. telescoping steering wheel and seldom-seen Speed Warning Indicator. Power brakes provide the stopping power behind 15-inch Rallye wheels that are wrapped in Coker Red Line tires. The original. unrestored hardtop is included with this Stingray. and we have an organized binder on file containing all the applicable NCRS judging sheets and certificates. the original tank sticker. Protect-O-Plate and records for recent maintenance. Well-restored Goodwood Green Corvettes are few and far between and this example is one of the best driving examples we've come across in some time.
