Part of an extensive and prestigious So-Cal automotive collection. this is an extremely rare. well restored and very special car. A beautiful AACA Grand National and Senior Winner finished in it's original "Calypso Green" body color. "Patina Ivory" coves and tastefully updated "Patina Ivory" roof panel. From the sweeping roof line to the ribbed deck lid and onto the gloriously abundant chrome/stainless factory trim. you will find this beauty exceptional.
Adding to the excitement is what resides under the hood and between its long legs. Retaining its original/optional "Tri-Power" configuration. 3 Rochester 2bbl carburetors feeding 370 cubic inches of pure Pontiac muscle fitted with 10. 5:1 Compression Ratio Cylinder Heads and High Lift camshaft produced a strong 300HP at 4600 rpm. Weighing in at just about 4. 00 lbs. Hot Rod Magazine tests at the time documented Zero to 60 Times of only 7. 6 seconds. very impressive indeed.
Did you know? In 1958. the Bonneville ceased the role of model designation and became its own "Series-25" line. The name 'Bonneville' was originally used by GM on a pair of bubble-topped GM Motorama concept cars called the 'Bonneville Special. ' The name came from the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah where many land speed records have been set over the years.
In closing. this is 1 of only 9. 44 coupes built and 1 of VERY few produced with the 300HP "Tri Power Option". Fire up your rockets and take a trip back in time. this is a very fine example. Equipment Model# 2547SD Custom Sport Coupe. factory 370ci 300Hp Tri-Power. 4 Spd Hydra-Matic Transmission. Limited Slip Differential. Power Steering. Power Drum Brakes.
