1968 MG Midget, very original, nice condition, drives superbly for sale
Just arrived we have this delightful little MG Midget. finished in British Racing Green with black interior.
After a thorough clean. this little gem has come up a treat! The car appears to be a very original car and relatively untouched. in its life it has been repainted in the original colour. but does not appear to have ever been subject to a major restoration. hence it has the charm and character of an unrestored car. while also being a good example.
On the outside the bodywork is very good and as you can see from the photos certainly looks the part. It has picked up one or two minor blemishes and chips but certainly nothing to detract from the overall nice appearance. All the chrome work is in good order. and for a change the car is still fitted with its original steel wheels and hubcaps. which add to the period charm. The hood is the original style vinyl folding hood and fits very well. but has a couple of minor nicks. however I'm sure it would get you home dry. and besides. who actually uses one of these with the hood up?!
On the inside the car is totally original. right down to the door cards and seats. with original style carpets and a smaller Mountney sports steering wheel. Definitely a bonus when getting in and out! The seats are in good order with no rips or tears and there is also a full tonneau should you wish to be cocooned and cosy while driving with the hood down!
Driving the Midget is an absolute pleasure. it drives superbly and rides our moorland roads (with their share of potholes) without any rattles. squeaks or other noises of an unusual nature. The engine is very lively and pulls very well. the gearbox is clean and precise and the brakes pull up very well. It has that certain feeling that is hard to define. but when you know a car is "right".
All in all a nice little MG. one to be used rather than cossetted. but one that is good enough that it also draws admiring glances wherever it goes.
The Midget is available to view night or day. seven days a week. in a dry well lit garage and viewing is strongly recommended!
Also I am always on the look out for good quality classic cars. so if you have a car you wish to part ex. nbsp;sell. or have sold for you I'll be happy to consider it. Feel free to send any pictures to sales@victoriasportscars. co. uk
