Father bought brand new in 1950. Married his wife in 1951. and car became known as “The Honeymoon Car”. The car has professional frame off Restoration. by Hills Restoration Services. Car was completed approx. in the summer of 1992. Father passed in 2011. and family now has offered for sale.

Paint- Paint was done during the restoration in the early 90's. Paint is extremely smooth and shiny. and matches all the way around. I did not see any type of flaws in the paint application. Condition is a testament to the quality of workmen ship that went into the restoration over twenty years ago. There are some light imperfection. (spots on the middle of the hood) They show only inside under florescent lights. There is also a nick on the back edge of the drivers door. and a small damaged area at the bottom right side of the trunk. (see pictures)

Body- The body is beautiful and straight. and about as professionally done as you can imagine. with out any dents or irregularities. The gaps around the panels all look uniform. only note being that the left fender gap appears to be a slight bit larger than the other side.

Magnets- Going over the cars body panels I can certainly verify all the panels are metal. It appears the car probably received a skin coating over the body. which would be necessary in making the car so straight and correct. Upon inspection it appears there may have been some small repairs made in the lower panels and doors at some point.

Bright work- All the bright work on the car appears to be properly in place and secure. The chrome around the windows shows minimal light wear. as does the grill and bumpers. (very minimal like that of car only a couple years old) The stainless running down the sides of the car. as well as the rest of the bright work also appears as a car of only a few years old. Only exception being the shields in front of the rear tires which where brought back as best as they could. I also noticed that the four hubcaps are very shiny and have good color on the paint emblems.

Glass- the glass is all clear and does not show any cracks. bull-eyes. or wiper marks. It appears in be in almost new condition exception being very light amount of delimitation on the edges of the side windows. (see pictures) The rear plastic window has stayed unbelievably clear for its age.

Convertible Top- The top was replaced during the restoration and changed to its current color. The color is very bold and not fading. The stitching all seems to be in place. It does have a very large zip out rear window. A large zipper makes it easy for opening. You will see the detail in the interior bow work as well.

Interior- Notice that the interior was completely restored including seats. carpeting . aint. and chrome. It has as much of a new car feel to it as you could imagine. The visors are good and solid and operate properly. Looking at pictures you can see the quality that went into the dash restoration.

Trunk- A lot of attention to detail when restoring the truck. There is a spare tire and wheel. painted tools and new carpeting.

Tires and Wheels- 6. 70/15 BF Goodrich Silvertown with wide whites. Caps. bright works. and painting. are in almost new condition. No curb damage to the tires or the wheels. There are some light dimples on the hubcaps on the outside edges from removing and installing them. yet barley noticeable.

Engine- Has been restored and all the components have been left as stock and mostly as it was designed. The family recently had a coil go bad. The original coil is included with the car and is in the pictures. The different coil is in place until a duplicate can be found. Also the mopar battery recently went bad and a new Harris battery was installed. Also included fuel pump which is a fuel pump and vacuum pump combination to operate the wipers. Until a new one is installed the car currently has a standard pump. New wiring was installed during restoration.

Chassis- Part of the restoration was painting the whole bottom side of the body as well as a complete refinish of the frame. Both have held up very well and show almost no wear! The rest of the chassis area has held up very well and a very small amount of work could restore it back to how it looked freshly restored.

Chad went on test drive with a family member. Rode and drove approx. 5 miles.
