If you are looking for a cheap. leaking. incorrect parts. misrepresented. bent frame. cracked tire. torn interior. missing top. yellowed side curtains. bad paint job. overspray on all parts. TC. then. pass on this listing and purchase one of the other MGTC's on EBAY or on Craig's list.  This MGTC is not for you!
For those select individuals who are interested in a national show quality MGTC EXU.
A couple of years ago the Owl's Head Transportation Museum in Owl's Head. Maine. was searching nationwide for the best MG's in the country to represent a museum showing of the lineage of Morris Garage.  Once the selections had been made. the difficult decision of which MG should be in their main lobby had to be made.  The decision was to have the MGTC that I am selling be that car.  It was and still is in stunning condition.  Note that I am not a dealer selling for someone else.  I own the car with a clear title. Just prior to the show. it had undergone a true nut and bolt restoration and as can be seen in the photos. it is still in the same condition as it was when I purchased it at the end of the show. This MGTC EXU is a very rare model as only 494 EXU's were manufactured out of a run of 10. 00 TC's.  Many of the TC's listed on Ebay and elsewhere represent that they are EXU models.  THEY ARE NOT!  MG began export of the TC in 1948 and 1949. and many owners and especially slick dealers make an incorrect assumption and  represent them as EXU's.  They are not   The true test of an EXU is to have a certificate from the UK based TRegister indicating that your chassis is indeed an EXU.  I have that certificate for this TC.  The certificate also lists the original engine number which this TC also has.  There are a number of changes that were made to the EXU model that were not on the standard model.  If you research the list of differences. you will see special front and rear bumpers with very specific badging. twin specialty horns. intake manifold. air cleaner. etc.  A modest list of upgrades and changes. but none the less. the changes were only for an EXU.
This TC is flawless.  It starts as a new TC. stops without effort and handles like a true sports car.  The paint and interior are breathtaking in their perfection.  I have included a few photos of the front suspension that are representative of the rest of the car.  Compare them to current and past TC's on Ebay with cloudy pictures of black overspray on suspension. sagging doors. incorrect interiors and improper paint color combinations.
The TC comes with a tonneau cover. a never used top and never used side curtains which replaced the originals during the restoration.
My price is representative of pricing achieved for other EXU's sold at recent high end auctions in the US and Europe.  This is a no issue TC and I believe the finest limited edition version of the the MGTC that you will find. Good luck bidding.  I will gladly answer all questions.
Question#1  I have been asked about the high pricing compared to other TC's. Answer:  Think 6 cylinder 1965 Mustang.   Then. 1965 8 cylinder Mustang. Then 1965 HiPerformance 8 cylinder Mustang.   Then 1965 8 cylinder Shelby Mustang.   All Mustang's. all 1965's. but not all priced the same.   This TC is the Shelby Mustang of the MGTC's.   Well worth the extra $$ for those few individuals who can appreciate the difference.
