1967 Plymouth Barracuda convertible, match#'s, low mile, buckets, auto, fact.A/C

  Factory A/C.

LOW RUST!  Classic car definition of LOW rust: FIRST consider the year 2014 minus the year 1967 car made= 47 years OLD.   FACTORY floors. inner rockers. trunk. most of quarters (little repair @ sometime). doors. etcetera. etcetera are 99% as was in 1967 off the production assembly line.   In my "classic car" mind's interpretation this means almost rust free original.

Original matching numbers 273 cubic inch V8.   Automatic center console shift with bucket seats.   *Factory air conditioning (was working; must be small leak).  Power steering. brakes. & top.   Dash tach(works).   Everything works.   Starts & runs decently needing usual basic tune up (plugs/wires mostly; electronic ignition added & seems to be correctly functioning).   There is no oil burning smoke or overheating.   The automatic transmission is working properly with correct shifting sequences & has proper/expected band tightness (no slipping/clunking).   To the best knowledge of the previous owner. it is the "original" odometer mileage (52. 63).   Her husband validated it when he purchased it & it looks it based upon minimal rust. pedals. original carpet/seats. etc.

Last owners were senior citizens & had since 1997; always garaged.    .    

  Minor rust on several areas; mostly rockers (pictures available).   Still 98% original inner & outer rocker material/steel.   Some scratches. nbsp;maybe 2 dings.   I used a weak magnet (weak magnet used on purpose so if it sticks. good indicator -good metal) on all areas that old car people know might have bondo.   It clung to everywhere especially all door usual places.   All fender wells solid; magnet tested everywhere.    Minimal rust in trunk (a trunk picture with the spare removed is now available; I can send one at request; (((((Ebay still has a "glitch" in their software not allowing picture move/deletions/& other picture replacements)))))).   There is a new original patterned aftermarket rubber trunk mat & a spare tire cover board from "Year One" parts company.   All the original jack. parts & jack bag are in place.   I think the painted burgandy color is the original color (code: QQ1; H6W is trim code).   The paint job looks like it could be buffed to shine nicely (with a motorized buffing procedure/professional).

Rare. or at least preferred: buckets. center console auto shift. factory A/C (consider factory A/C has more value than aftermarket add on; even if not working-& aftermarket is $2k+ to install-never like factory ambiance/original).    

The seats & over-all interior is very well preserved including the dash.   No cracks in steering wheel or dash pad.   Driver's bucket has a small (1inch) seperation at the top corner. so the owner bought new front seats recover kit (new-in box).   No need to recover anytime soon- see the pictures. Top material in great shape (no holes) with a glass window.   The power top works flawlessly. although the original toggle switch is a bit finicky.   The top boot is like new & all snaps are good.   All the glass is perfect with slight factory tinting.

I know all of you know. bid knotching increments does not influence most sellers.   The price is pretty much set in stone from the beginning.   Bid knotching does nudge a seller to state his bottom line.   That being said. the "buy" price is $13. 00. . never lower.   Meet this reserve & you bought a reasonably priced. appreciating car. price allowing for tweeking preferences.   Offering less & ownership is not yours.   Offering less does fullfill a competitiveness with other squirt gun/horse racing stuffed animal winning & Ebay bidding frenzy. or sense of "high bidder" accomplishment.
