1965 PONTIAC CATALINA VENTURA FASTBACK COUPE (LIKE BONNEVILLE) ONE FAMILY OWNER

Just in from the West Coast. a lovely looking Pontiac Catalina Ventura. a model very similar to the Bonneville and fitted with a 290hp 389ci V8 and auto transmission. The colour is a beautiful pale primrose yellow. although the official name is "Mayfair Maize". I bought this car from the grandson of the original owner and he assures me that the mileage of 46. 00 is genuine although I am unable to confirm this in writing. One look at the beautifully original interior. plus the driving experience would seem to confirm that it is in fact genuine . the car drives absolutely like new with that rarely found "tight" feel of a low mileage car.  The original owner bought the car in February 1965 and I have the original registration slip and cashiers receipt. I also have every single registration slip. all in the same name. nbsp;right up until 1998 when the old guy was too old to drive it any longer. I also have the original service book. nbsp;the original owners guide. the "protect-o-plate". nbsp;and a workshop manual.  The car was laid up a short while later when he passed away and eventually it was left to the grandson who used it a little but has no interest in classic cars so then sold it to me. The paint and body looks to be for the most part completely original and although looks absolutely stunning. there are a few  very minor chips and scratches and other imperfections. but nothing worth worrying about particularly considering the car's age. As already said. the interior is original and lovely. the only points worthy of mention are a seam on top of the driver's seat that has come loose. and wear on the drivers door arm rest. The headlining. dash pad. seats etc are mint. Looking underneath. the floor pans look as new. the frame rails could do with a protective coating but i'll leave that to the new owner so that everything can be clearly seen on the point of sale. I had a look under the car when it was on the ramp being MOT'd and it really is that good. the MOT examiner was well impressed so much so that with a couple of minor tweeks the car now has a years test. Duties have been paid and NOVA declared to HMRC. and so the car is ready to register. an easy process which most people prefer to do themselves in order to be the first registered owner. I can. if required. register the car myself to avoid any hassle for the buyer. in which case the car would come UK registered. tax disc (free) in the windscreen. and UK number plates fitted.  Delivery is possible. subject of course to full prior payment which would preferably be via bank transfer to my Company account.
