33/36 Willys A/Gas Supercharged Pickup Gasser Blown And Injected 392 Hemi

this auction is for the very well known Mild Bunch Willys gasser. i do not own this truck. iam listing it for a friend. any questions must be directed to him by calling  215-453-7999. the owner of the truck is my friend Jim "Tinny" Tinsmith. Jims one of those old time car guys whose seen and done it all when it comes to the car hobby. in the 60s Tinny was the starting line man at Vargo Dragway right here in Perkasie Pa. in its day Vargo was a very well known NHRA sanctioned track which gave Tinny a front row seat to the true haydays of dragracing. later he worked for Bash speed shop as a driver and a wrench and he is a current member of the east coast gassers club. today he single handed runs Tinnys Street Rodz And Nostalgia Dragcars. out of his shop Tinny has turned out some of nicest car projects I have ever seen in all my years in the car hobby. whether its something as simple as installing a rollcage or doing a ground up period correct caddy powered 40 ford . is attention to detail. and fabrication skills are second to no one. this willys pickup is a shining example of his work at its finest. its a chance to own a race ready willys gasser which is detailed to the max. the motor is  fresh with only 5 runs on it. the truck runs on alcohol and runs 9s at 140 mph. the 392 chrysler block is a 1957 block . 030 over with venolia pistons. hot heads H beam rods and total seal rings. it has a mondello steel crank with 4 bolt mains. an 8 quart oilpan and windage tray. a 340 hi po oil pump and the bottom end has been balanced. heads have been O-ringed and the motor uses an Engle roller cam and lifters with a donovan gear drive. the headers are custom made by Tinny and it also has a vertex magneto. the blower is a 6-71 GMC topped with a hilborn 4 port injector fed from a 4 gallon tank. the trans is an ATI powerglide and a 4000 st converter. rear is a 9 inch ford rear with 4:56 gears and a ladder bar suspension. the frame is the stock willys frame but Tinny has boxed and crossmembered it. the front axle is stock. the entire front suspension. and the ladder bars and the panhard bar have all been jet-hot coated in silver. the steering box is a corvair piece with a custom made column with a removable steering wheel. there are disc brakes up front and big ford drum brakes out back and a line lock. wheels are new 15 inch cragars. slicks are like new 32x12 firestones with michelin tires up front. the cab is a real steel 1936 willys truck. its been chopped 3 inches and filled. the bed has been custom made by Tinny. the nose and rear fenders are glass pieces from AI. color is corvette yellow with lettering from another old timer Jim The Painter who has done lettering and striping for Jungle Jim and Grumpy Jenkins. windshield is lexan. all other glass is plexiglass. there is a chute mounted out back. inside there is an 8 point cage. 1957 anglia bucket seats. current belts and sw guages and tach. the truck has been picked as the 2002 best nostalgia gasser at the willys homerun in buffalo new york. cover car Gasser Wars magazine 2002. top 10 award funnycar reunion englishtown new jersey. celebrity award northeast rod and custom nationals 2013 and top 75 award northeast rod and custom nationals 2013. NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION but availabe to the new owner for additional funds are a like new enclosed trailer and a unique custom made tow vehicle (see picture). Tinny has offered to deliver the car for free within a 100 mile radius. anything beyond 100 miles will be the responsibility of the new owner.
