1980 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am Indy Pace Car Edition

Up for sale is my very nice 56. 00 low mileage 1980 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am Indy Pace Car Edition. Only 5. 00 of these beauties were built new and today less than 2. 00 remain. Of those far fewer remain in the type of condition this one is in. Making it even that much more collectible. If you're familiar with these Pace Cars. you know their value continues to climb and will do so for years to come. Arguably the most attractive Trans Am every built. This is a numbers matching Pace Car and is PHS documented. Well preserved. and is a real eye-catcher! It never fails to get the thumbs up and draws attention where ever it goes. It has been garage stored. started monthly to keep systems charged and lubricated. It is fully optioned. with Fisher t-tops and covers. A/C. power windows. door locks. tilt. cruise. rear defrost. delay wipers and much more. I had installed an Alpine stereo with Infinity speakers. Alpine Amplifier and an Alpine 10 inch subwoofer in the trunk (I still have factory am/fm cassette stereo). All three turbo lights work on the hood scoop. Engine runs very strong with the turbo spooling great. delivering a jet like boost and transmission shifts solid. Mechanically this Pace Car will not disappoint. The exterior and interior are in very nice condition for a 34 year old car. No cracks on the dash. seat fabric is not all wore out like many out there. There is some sun fading to the rear panels.  The a/c compressor is locked up. I have original build sheet.

The improvements I had professionally performed to the car. were done by the best in the business in my area.

All these improvements are how Pontiac would have wanted this car to be. It has made for definite improvements that has created an outstanding running Pace Car. It has not been torn apart and molested like many have done. You will see. that doing it the right way and making subtle changes. these often misunderstood cars can really deliver in performance. The handling this Pace Car delivers with its WS6 suspension is also very impressive. It improved even more once the sub frame connectors were added. It corners amazing with great braking ability.
