Plymouth Duster 1972

Breakdown information:

The color is PPG DBC Lava Orange with 3 coats of Gold Pearl. The car was stripped to bare metal and all metal was fixed properly then PPG etching was applied then PPG K38 Surfacer and blocked to perfection. There is 6 coats of PPG DCU2002 clearcoat and it was wetsanded and buffed for a real nice deep wet show finish. Tuned engine is a 69 standard bore 440 that is studded with Eagle rods. Ross Pistons. Mopar Cylinder heads. Crane gold roller rockers. Mopar cam. custom Hooker Headers into 3 inch downturns and a 950 Mighty Demon fuel injected Carb. Aluminum radiator with electric fan. but car runs 180 at the hottest regardless of weather. but I like to run it cool at 160 with fan.  There is not even 1000 miles on the complete system not 5000 like the speedo reads! The trans is a 727 custom built with revese manual valve body and 3400 stall converter with 3 speed B&M shifter. The rear end is a 8 3/4 suregrip. 489 casing with 3. 91 gears and Moser axles. Mopar Superstock leafsprings with QA1 shocks. Plain street radial tires ran 11. 51 at 121mph shifting it at 5800 rpm with full exhaust. New stickey Mickey Thompson Drag street radials 275/60R15 and Weld Racing wheels with locking nuts all around. Car went 10. 89 open exhaust and drag slicks. Fronts are new Classics 165/80R15. Front discs with fairly new brake pads and new rear shoes with drums. Car has not been raced or abused. just to the track once to get stats! Yes it is fast. fun and loud! When you get it mad. it is very mean and has a pretty bad attitude! Smoke-free and always covered! It gets a bath every two weeks and a wax every 3 months! When it's thirsty. I add a bottle of 104 Octane booster to a full tank of premium gas. usually from Costco. because I like it that way. 6 point roll cage with 5 point racing harness for driver. regular for passenger. I do not recommend any children or pets to be in this car. bad for hearing! New truck battery and fuel cell in trunk! Fresh fluids and new NGK race plugs! Master cutoff  switch along with hidden start switch. Wheelie bars are not necessary since the suspension is setup strong. however the front can come up about 3 inches when you get on it. but that' it. I will take them off for shipping purposes. but they are included with the sell price. Has over $25. 00 invested. NADA does not have category for the way my Duster is setup. incidentally however. my Insurance through Hagerty has its worth at $25. 00. The market is ever increasing. so if I don't sell. no problem. I will just simply keep as a part of my collection! Street legal with working lights and markers. Currently licensed and registered in California with a clean and clear title in my name.  I have a plethora of pics and I can create new video upon request. Have questions. just ask!
