Here we have a 1997 Mitsubishi Mirage

I have owned this car close to four years and it has not missed a single beat this entire time but I'm looking to upgrade.

Serviced every 10. 00-15. 00km the two most recent services done at Midas.

It just had a $200 service today (Saturday the 3/5/14) at Midas. new plugs. oil and filters and inspection. The findings of the inspection (such as globes and squeaks) were fixed.

I also recently replaced the rear drum brake pads and fitted 4 new tyres. not even 20% worn yet.

This alone cost around $600 and I'm only starting the auction at $1700.

The car has done 165xxxkms as of writing and I purchased it when it had 102000kms. Those 63. 00kms are primarily from driving on the Freeway. not stop start City driving.

I keep an Excel spreadsheet of this cars fuel consumption and have tracked it since September 2011.

I have included an image of this spreadsheet from November 2013 to April 2014 so you can have a look at it yourself.

This is the most economical car I have ever owned as it averages 6. 41 litres per 100km. The 50L tank can take you an average 784kms per tank for $60.

Ultimately it's cheap to run. starts and runs perfectly. easy to drive and looks good. I'm only selling to upgrade.

The interior is clean and well maintained as seen in the photos. The heater fan speed does not work on speeds 1 and 2 so I just use 3. 4 if you really need to.

Not much sign of wear on the exterior. there is a ding in the bonnet from the previous owner which is purely cosmetic and not of any concern and 3 or 4 small rust spots (biggest is the size of a 10c piece) that had been coated with a commercial sealant a while ago. Besides this there's the occasional scuff mark. the pictures are a good indicator. just things you'd expect on a this age.

The 1. 5L engine puts out 69kw of power and its light weight makes allows for great steering and agility.

In summary. it's cheap to run. low maintenance and reliable.

Pick-up only. Car is located in Nairne SA but can also be picked up on Grange Road on the weekend.

Payment in cash upon picked is preferred and must be made and picked up within 3 days of sale.

Has Registration until June 2013 and its only $190 for 3 months.

If the car sells for more than $2500 I will pay for another 3 months rego.

This car is also advertised elsewhere and I have the right to remove it at any time.
