RELUCTANT SALE DUE TO HEALTH PROBLEMS. /u>

Here is my much loved Mega rare 1981 TVR Tasmin 2. 8i Coupe. Only 27 were built in 81 with a total of Only 140

built between 81-87. Unlike the Convertables which were produced in much higher numbers. /p>

It was built in July 1981 so benefits from Many improvements to the S2 cars including the plastic coated chassis.

The car has been upgraded in many area's mainly in the electrical department and includes all new exterior light units. /p>

modification to headlight operation. incorporating a button in glove box which allows raising of headlight pods for maintenance/cleaning without having lights on. The battery has been relocated in rear of vehicle to allow the repositioning of the ignition unit for easier access and the fitting of a header tank required for the larger radiator also fitted with a thermostatically controlled electric fan with override switch.

You may have noticed there are no door key locks. This is because it has been fitted with keyless entry as part of the talking alarm system fitted to the vehicle. It also has hidden push button start on the Ignition. There is also a backup system should you have a flat battery (which will only be revealed to new owner) There are also locking fuel caps under the twin flip up caps.

The mechanicals are all in good working order with recent new front callipers and adjustable coil over shocks all round. Paint work is generally good with a few minor chips. one of the problems of being a low car) It can also be seen that the rear glass panel has been given the carbon fibre treatment with a dash panel to match. this can be easily removed to reveal the original wood if preferred. The seats were special order items I acquired with a carbon fibre look material. finished off with £140. 00 steering wheel. removable glass sun roof fitted.

There are also gauges fitted under the bonnet to help maintenance. The oil pressure gauge is of capillary type as I've never trusted electric sensor ones. the hood support rams have been removed as the bonnet has been converted to easy lift off. Again to assist with access and maintenance. The V6 engine runs really sweet with very good oil pressure. I've encountered no problems.   Amazing as it may seem the V8 models had only around a 6mph faster top end.

All tyres are very good. wheels have been powder coated. this is probably one of the best examples left as lots were wrecked on the race circuit. Loads more done to vehicle I've probably forgot to mention. Come and see for yourself.

Private Plate is included in sale

Vehicle is currently sorn (no point taxing something I can't drive) But will be taxed for new owner ready for collection. current milage as stated is 65577 and the MOT is due in August.

Any questions or to arrange viewing please phone 01493-722271   Please No overseas buyers. No dreamers. No tyre kickers. Been there. got the T shirt. Open to sensible cash offers only.

As stated this is a very reluctant sale. for a very rare car. A real piece of British Motoring Heritage. Don't expect a new car or one that drives like a new car. It is 33 years old but is in Very good Condition and boy does it go.   Just the sound of it starting will put a smile on your face.

Also included in sale are a number of original parts. 2 Seats. teering wheel. lights. and any other bits I find.

A £200. 00 deposit via Paypal will be required on completion of sale. With balance payable in Cash on collection.

Thanks for your Interest.

I will also shortly be listing an extremely rare Ginetta GRS Tora Pickup (Registered 1970) Call if interested.
