1936 Austin Opal
This little opal really is a charming little car. which presents an ideal investment opportunity given its rarity.
It is not a concourse restoration but has been restored in the past and is in incredibly good condition for a car of its age.
The Opal is ideally suited to summer and is a real pleasure to drive with the top down.
Externally the cars body work is good with no rust or rot and good paintwork the Burgundy / Black colour scheme really turns heads.
Mechanically the car drives well and her little engine pulls strongly. The transmission of the car changes through all forward gears and reverse as it should. The gearbox and the rest of the cars drive train is also as it should be providing a quiet driving experience with no whining and crashing. The little Opals braking system stops the car as it should providing peace of mind while driving.
Electrically the car has been rewired using traditional methods. as per a car of the period this gives a little more reliability. we have also installed a new starter motor and 6v battery.
The cars hood has been cleaned. dyed and resealed by a hood specialist.
The cars seats have also been retrimmed
The underside of the car is very solid and will be waxoyled fully before the Pearl leaves for her new home.
The Austin comes with its original "buff" logbook.
The Austin will also be fully serviced before leaving us.
