I know this has gotten your attention. a fuel injected Corvette is on many lists of cars to have. This is one of the finest tribute cars I think you'll see. it was frame-off restored by Verboon's in Lemoore. CA. one of the top Corvette restoration shops in the country.   The car had a 3 year. no expense spared reincarnation from a standard car to the fuel injected example you see here. nit was completed in 06. Every detail was done so that it would be indistinguishable from a factory car with all part numbers and date codes adhered to. The car is garaged and covered when not out. it has a custom fitted cover included. It doesn't leave town except by trailer so all miles driven since the restoration have been local for break in and car shows. The owner of this car has owned it for over 25 years and has decided to make a few changes in his life so this multiple award winning car is now available for a new home.

The engine is a 327. it is the correct casting number and the correct build date so it was stamped with the VIN as to appear as a numbers matching engine. The engine itself was bored . 030" over and was built to the original fuel injection specs with the exception of Summit top fuel pistons (they add 4 hp per cyl. ). The engine was line bored. balanced & blue printed when being built by Dave Hyatt of Fresno. The fuel injection unit is a correct piece with all internals replaced so it is like a new one. All of the manifolds. covers and generator are correct in every detail. The fan is a 6 blade to cool better here in central CA but he is including the restored original 5 blade. The Generator belt is not an original style as the one that's offered doesn't fit. The transmission is the correct one and has the correct build date as well. The rear end. driveline and all suspension has all the correct markings and part numbers where applicable. The rear end is 4. 11 ratio and with 392 total horsepower it will give you a big grin when you mash the pedal.

The interior looks stunning. every part has been replaced. restored or refinished. The Wonder Bar radio was rebuilt and works as does the clock. The gauges are all working as they did from the factory and the owner chose not to reset the odometer when he restored the car like many do. The seat belts are correct accessory parts because they weren't standard in 62 yet. The detail of the heater box and other under dash items is just beautiful. sometimes these are overlooked in a restoration because they aren't visible but not on this one. The correct clamps and fasteners are used throughout. 2 non standard clamps were uses on one of the heater hoses because it wasn't sealing but the originals are right next to them. I think the detail of the sill plates and door hardware is as nice as you'll see. even the pass. side dash trim is perfect. The trunk is the same. everything is like new and has the cone protectors over the bulbs like it should. Definitely nothing missed here. The rear view mirror is a close replica of the original as an original replacement couldn't be found. only an expert would know the difference.

The exterior of the car was repainted the original Roman red and it looks like it should have new. of course it's not laser smooth because it would have to be incorrectly restored for that. Don't get me wrong. the paint is perfect and has a smooth finish it's just the body itself isn't supposed to be smooth like a steel car. The panel fit is great all around. the car has never been in an accident that they could see during the restoration so there are no body fitment issues that crop up like a repaired car. The trunk lid and hood were left unlatched on purpose during the photo shoot for those that are curious. he only latches them when driving. The glass is all original with date codes and the top was completely restored to new. The tires are Coker. the 2 rear were replaced recently because of whitewall issues and the front tires don't have 1. 00 miles yet. The rocker trim. inserts. all the chrome and even the T3 headlights are stunning. this car just beams perfection.

This car has won a trophy at every outing and the last year he only brought it out for display because he doesn't need any more trophies at this point. There is a set of Chip Foose wheels he bought for it that will be available to the new owner if he is interested.

I have know the owner and this car since 05 and remember all the details he fussed over during and after the restoration. I think I covered most of the details but if you need to know something I didn't cover so let me know and I'll find out if I don't already know it. I tried to show an overall depiction in the pictures and have 45 additional pictures of more detailed areas so send me your email address because eBay mail system isn't picture friendly. The car is near my shop so I can get additional pics if I don't already have them. If you've been looking for one of the finest restored "fuel injected" Corvettes in the right color combination and don't need to pay for a pedigree don't let this one get by you.
