Ford Capri 1.6 Laser 1984

Welcome to the auction for my stunning 1. 6 Ford Capri Laser (MK3).
I have had this car for three years. I am the third owner. she is low mileage for her age. she's in very very good condition for her age as well. she has been my daily driver but has been really well looked after having anything that she has needed done to her.
About the car
She has got an updated electrical system including electronic ignition so no more points and condenser. uprated battery. and a slightly higher output alternator. I do have the original points and condenser unit and it will be sold with the car.  
She has also had a direct replacement webber carburettor. I have the old V/V carburettor. but this started to misbehave. This does mean that the car now has a choke. where before it would have had an auto choke.  
All of the suspension has been replaced on this car (front and back springs) it has also had a full poly bush kit fitted. front to back. And so sits as it should on the road.  
She has got all 5 original wheels and tyres are in a fair condition.  
She has recently had a full service (spark plugs. oil. filter. air filter etc)
Paintwork is in a reasonable condition for the age of the car. she did have a knock on the near side front corner. this means the car has had a front end re spray. it is the correct colour but you can see where it has been sprayed up to due to the old paint. The paint has been really well looked after and has really good depth of shine. It was fully professionally repaired and painted. Including an original replacement front balance and near side wing.
She has got new door seals. all round and the sun roof does not leak. Original parcel shelf. all be it slightly damaged.  
The rear speakers have been replaced with slightly larger speakers. this has been done in such a way that none of the car has been modified to fit the speakers. the original side speakers could go back in. The radio works but cannot pick up radio stations because it is the original long wave - medium wave radio and this signal has been recently disabled. prior to this the radio was working fine. the aerial is electric and works.
Engine bay is really clean. through being well looked after. exhaust is in good condition. the engine runs with a lead replacement additive in the fuel. this is readily available from Halfords etc.  
This car was one of the few built in Germany and I have been informed has had an extra rust-proofing process which means there is very minimal rust on the car situated on the rear wheel arches shown in the pictures. She is a very solid car for a Ford of this age.
The front seats are in fair condition for this style of interior. they have started to wear and would probably benefit from reupholstering. The rear seats are in good condition. very little wear due to less use. This car only has front seat belts as the car was produced in a time before rear seat belts were compulsory.  
All in all this is a really solid car. always gets attention wherever you take it. always gets comments about the good condition she's in. going to be really upset to see her go. the only reason for sale is for a more practical daily commute and didn't want to put more miles on her.
