Two-seat highway-capable ZWheelz prototype electric vehicle

Sale price: $8,000.00 make an offer

Seller's notes: "The original lead acid batteries have been removed so it needs a lithium upgrade. This is more of a project than something ready to drive but it was in working order when the batteries were removed. All the parts are high-end and well worth the cost just for the major components. This is a one-week auction and then the trike will go into storage if not sold."

Sale type: Fixed price listing

Heidts Hot Rod Open Wheel front end with over-sized drilled Wilwood brakes. chrome control arms. two steering racks and stock cross member.   Extra springs.   ($3K new)

MES-DEA 100kw AC drive system.   Like a Swiss watch. very sophisticated and smooth drive.   Water cooled. very programmable. regen. Graphical User Interface (GUI) for setup. real-time control. data display and data logging.   Well worth the trike price just for this drive.   ($12K new)

Brusa charger. MES DC-DC. in-dash touch-screen PC.   (over $5K new)

Corbeau seats. Flaming River chrome steering column. Momo steering wheel and shifter.   (over $1K new)

Harley Davidson 5-speed transmission. custom belt drive. custom chopper rear wheel.   (over $4K new)

Partially completed roll-cage and windshield optional.

The trike worked very well with smooth power. 70 mph+. super-low cg and unmatched head-turning capability.   Three main issues were:
1) low ground clearance (especially with extended front end) but that was mainly due to 2. 00 lb lead acid pack
2) too small belt (next larger sizes will fit and with lower weight with lithium should work fine)
3) bump steer from widening frame (frame can be narrowed at front cross member or steering rack can be extended).

I would be happy to work with buyer to take this project to the next level.   I will be closing my fabrication shop so it's either sell it or store it.   I know I will be able to make an awesome electric vehicle from these parts down the road but can use the space and money right now.   See ZWheelz website for a lot more more details and pictures at > vehicles > custom trike.
