Restored Rare 1961 Land Rover Series II 88 Station Wagon by Private Seller for sale

1961 Land Rover Series II 3 Door Station Wagon.   Very rare Series II with Station Wagon option which includes safari roof. dished bonnet. 4 individual rear seats and 16 inch wheels. Older restoration with galvanized frame (painted black under vehicle) with some updates.   Rare Koenig winch that is engine driven.   This Rover has been restored to a very detailed level including attention to minor items such as. but not limited to. original leather straps holding front seats. working choke light indicator. working Smiths heater. wiper motors. window locks and matching key original working door locks. etc. . etc. All gauges in working order.   Fuel gauge is not accurate. Engine runs very smooth and quiet.   The Rover has Warn hubs and factory original side and rear steps. This is my Rover and is titled in my name.

This is very. very nice complete Land Rover and needs to be driven! Very few miles since restoration. Factory 2. 25 petro engine. Stainless steel bolts and fasteners were used along with misc. galvanized items wherever possible.  Rover has also been converted to a standard negative 12 volt system. Other upgrades include a Weber carb and upgraded exhaust header system including factory stainless steel muffler.

Body panels are in excellent condition. aside from minor dings and some paint blemishes since restoration. There is some paint fade on the top of the hood and fenders.   But. the patina seems to enhance the look of the Rover.
