The Rover 2000TC was an innovative car. ahead of its time. But if you are looking at this listing you probably know about these cars already.

This example is a good driver and a nice candidate for restoration. It was inspected a few months ago at  Ed Wright's British Car Repair in San Rafael and given a good bill of health. It is not perfect. and could use plenty of improvements. It needs to be repainted. and the rubber trim should be replaced at that point. The interior is so so. not too bad.

Mechanically it is sound. The shift linkage could use an adjustment to make it shift smoother. and it shudders a bit if you try to go aggressively from a dead stop. Aside from these minor issues it is sound. but could use some general improvements like new brake hoses for safety. It seeps a little oil from the engine and differential. It starts easily and runs well.

I am including some parts to get started with a restoration or cleanup. These include replacement seat backs for the back seat (which need to be stained black). and rubber scrapers for the side windows (expensive) that should be put on when the car is painted.

One nice thing about this car as a restoration candidate is that there is almost no rust. just some very minor spots. Although I don't know its history of ownership. it likely spent its entire life in California.

This car is located in Sacramento. California and is also being advertised locally. so this auction may be canceled due to an outside sale.
