Here we have a superb example of the popular Ford Escort LX Automatic.

Having had just 1 previous owner from new and finished in deep red the car has been fastidiously owned by an elderly gentleman and is a credit to him.

Originally purchased by a lady it was sold to Mr Rees on the 20/12/2000 and he has owned it since.

The paintwork has a lovely deep shine and the interior is free from any untoward wear and tear. The car has never been smoked in or used to carry any pets.

On the road the car is faultless! There are no nasty noises and it feels exactly how a low mileage well looked after car should.

It uses no fluids and it does not smoke under any driving conditions.

As can be seen the car has been well maintained and all by Ford main dealers. It has covered just 47. 31 miles at present. therefore only 843 miles since the last service above.

The M. O. T is valid until the 04/04/2014 but I will put a brand new M. O. T on the car for its new owner. Incidentally it has covered just 20 miles since the M. O. T was carried out last year.

It still has it's dealer number plates fitted front and rear and the rear window sticker. Everything is as original as the day it left the factory and it has not been altered in any way.

With regard to any negatives. well all I can say is that it appears that the rear passenger side quarter panel and rear bumper has been repainted sometime in the past. It's a lovely finish but there is a slight colour difference. Also when the car is first started and drive is selected. it sometimes cuts out. As soon as the car idles for a few moments it's perfect and on the road the autobox is faultless. Now the car was fine before it was left in the showroom so it could just be down to lack of use.

I have personally known the car for the last 12 years as I lived opposite its owner. Mr Rees. I always observed him take it out of his garage once a week - usually on a Sunday to wash and polish it and I always said that I would buy the car if he ever decided to sell it. Last year due to his failing eyesight he reluctantly let me buy it and since then it has sat in my showroom where it has received a staggering amount of attention. Unfortunately we have now relocated and do not have a showroom. therefore I feel it is time for someone else to enjoy this lovely car.
