Apologies for the quality of the pictures the sun was low in the sky and very difficult to get a decent picture. e assured it is so much better in the flesh!
Background to the car “ The car known as the Beta Spyder Coupe(  Zagato Spyder  in America ) Zagato being the  Coach builder of the car for Lancia though actually designed by Pininfarina . he reason for the use of the “Y” instead of the “ I “ in Spyder is not to confuse with Alfa's Spider It was first registered in the republic of Ireland where it spent all its life until I brought into the UK October 2013. Believed to be just two keepers. the last since 2007( I have a photocopy of the Irish Buff log book from the last keeper) As mentioned above the car also comes with a whole host of spares that have been accrued by the previous owner including “ Steering rack. radiator. alternator lighting units . witch gear . lock sets and much much more! Condition of the car (PLEASE READ MY SELLER FEEDBACK ON CLASSIC CARS SOLD).

Outer Panel work: The shell is wonderful. quite remarkable actually” . front wings . oors . ” pillar . ” slam . ear wings. tonneau panel. valences etc  superb! In fact Virtually unmarked!

Paintwork : The paintwork is possibly one of the best I have had on a car . t has had paintwork but this some   years ago . he overall finish looks lovely it has a deep shine without any fading. this no doubt is due to the previous owners keeping the car garaged and out of inclement weather  . he last keeper in the seven years  he had the car never had it in the rain !

Sub Frames /Strut Tops The sub frames / strut tops and sill sections : excellent' with no rust issue's that I can see.   Floor sections: There has been localised welding carried out in times gone by . ut no issues that require attention .   Interior: The  interior is the original fit. and considering  that it is some 36 years old it has held up very well”  The seating is in good condition with just is a small cut in the vinyl on the bolster on the driver's seat . oor cards / dash panel good. ash top has some small cracks in the plastic but nothing major. he carpets are the original fit. Rear Hood and targa panel: Both in excellent condition.

Drive Train: The engine is excellent “ very smooth with no noisy valve gear . oes not burn oil or over heat. Gearbox/Final Drive : No synchromesh issues . he differential has no wind up or slack.

Electrical : At the time of writing all systems are working as per specification. Exhaust system : No issues.

Wheels and Tyres: All the wheels are in excellent condition with no kerb damage . he tyres are also in good condition. Brakes: A little sticky at first from lack of use but now working well.

On the road: The car certainly attracts attention . ith lots of favourable comment's as to its condition people being quite amazed that is some 36 years old” I actually did the road trip in this car from Southern Ireland to Herefordshire a journey of some 257 miles  taking in various road conditions through the Snowdonia mountain range to “A” and Motorway roads in some pretty inclement weather “ this along with the car completely stacked out with spares and she made it back home without a hitch!

On off-loading all the spares . he car pulls  with gusto” the engine is very flexible with good economy. the awful road surface  conditions that we have here in Herefordshire like any car of this vintage  does get a bit floaty” but no bottoming out .         The car is well thought out and capable of carrying four people with a pretty cavernous boot . he bonus of the targa and hood make it very easy to drop down and erect"  just a click of the over clip latches  and the targa panel is removed and the hood folded down  . erfect to enjoy alfresco motoring !     Conclusion: Well the Spyder is quite a rare sight on the roads these days and this being a Mk1 even more so ! The major bonus to me of this car is the panelling and paintwork  . s one of the major cost centres when you are restoring  a spyder is the panelling well this something you never have to worry about! The car has the typical Italian style like a certain chic . hat even after 36 years has an almost timeless look that is both classic and up to the minute style icon. So now the spring has now sprung  . with No “ Reserve “ what better time to enjoy a classic Italian! Many Thanks for looking and all the very best of luck with your bid! Please note: the cars I sell are “classic” cars and by nature and age are not of the reliability that is  afforded to a modern car (apologies to the classic car enthusiasts for stating the obvious) Do not expect the car to accommodate you like a modern Mondeo etc. it is 36 years old and comes from a time when you had to drive the car not the other way  around” It sold as a collector's item and due to it's age not intended for everyday transport With all the best will in the world' whilst I would love then to stay totally reliable. but being old (like myself! )They can breakdown and you should be aware of this. if you have any doubt about classic car ownership or any of these facts kindly refrain from placing a bid on the car.    The car is as usual being sold with “No” Reserve ! Please Remember You Bid to Buy Not to Haggle.   Please note” The description of the vehicle is from my eyes and my opinion I  am only human ( I think” ) and could miss something that you might pick up. you are warmly encouraged to view and inspect the car prior to bidding yourself . I will do my utmost to accommodate you. once the auction has finished and if you are the winning bidder. you will be expected to conclude the transaction after being given this opportunity to inspect before the auction concludes. Please do not hesitate to call on : 07970383375 to arrange a viewing.   If the winning bidder is not UK Mainland based. it would be possible to deliver the car to a embarkation destination of their choice. once payment is received and the appropriate delivery tariffs have been met. it would be up to the winning bidder to organise the necessary on-going transportation and paperwork.   Please note! With two previous bidders who have had successful bids on other classics I have sold and have been European mainland based. they did not complete the sale quoting. they did not realise the logistics for transportation to the European mainland   Please. Please. Please!  If you are based on the European Mainland and you are going to bid on the car. please make sure you have the means to transport to the European mainland. also please make sure before you bid. that if you intend to road use the vehicle it can be registered in your country.   Seller's payment instructions  On successful bid. the winning bidder will contact the vendor by phone on 07970383375 or email within 24 hours of auction end. a deposit of £500 will be required within 72 hours of the auction.   Payment and collection within seven days (unless by prior arrangement)   The payment will be either Sterling. Bank transfer (CHAPS) Cheque.    If paying by cheque the car will not be released until clearance of the cheque. all payments in sterling.   Delivery is available throughout the UK and to ports of embarkation only. his is via Wye Bridge Motors of Hereford they are experts in Classic Car Transportation and have a “bed off” transporter especially designed to take the lowest classic.   If you require a quote for terms and tariffs to your destination please do not hesitate to email or call me  :07970383375  If you require additional pictures. please do not hesitate to email.   Now for the boring bits. I only sell good quality classic cars and describe the cars as accurately as I can and sell with honesty and integrity (please read my feedback) I have had on now 15! Occasions individuals being the successful bidders on cars and not fulfilling the auction terms (no contact after placing the winning bid ) so wasting my time and stopping a genuine person getting the car. nbsp;  I am also sad to say had an individual who decided after winning the car thinking he could try and force me to sell the car for less intimating placing negative feedback!  I would be grateful if you could call Me on: 07970383375 or email before you bid to confirm your intentions are bona fide .   Many thanks for your understanding.   Dave.   Jazz Blog: Well at last! the winter monsoon has finally gone and   time to get the classic car or bike and hit the road . nfortunately with the total lack of investment in the countries road network you have to spend more time stirring at the tarmac looking for potholes rather  than the road ahead! Government and councils will say it was because  of the winter  flooding ‘well the roads in this country have been deteriorating for over a decade . hen your consider the amount of money that is collect both directly and in directly from road users  we should be driving round on roads like billiard tables not tank tracks ! One think they could do ‘ why when a  private utility digs up the road the powers that be legislate to  make sure that they make good the whole road surface to the original condition prior to them digging it up “ Up and coming listings: Awesome BMW 286 bhp  “M” 635CSI  just two previous owners. full service history  simply stunning! Fire Up “ The Quattro ! 1986 Audi UR Quattro Turbo Coupe . ust 3 owners and  77k mls  tremendous performance! 1999 . iat Ducato 2. 8 Maxi Elnagh Italian Coachbuilt 6 berth Motorhome ( fixed rear double bed. double overcab. separate shower and toilet . ll kitchen facilities. ull length awaning . ir suspension plus lots more!
