1967 Ford Mustang Fastback S code Original 390 Big Block and Build sheet for sale
Current customer rating:
Here is your chance to own a 67 Mustang Fastback S code with the original 390 big block motor that it was born with. How many people can say that??? I am the 3rd owner and owned it for a little over 8 years. The second owner told me it was the original motor. so I did some looking and found the dates on the motor (see pictures). Car was built 3/8/67 and motor built 2/23/67 just 13 days apart. The heads and exhaust manifolds dates match too. although I can't remember the exact dates. He also said that the rear end was original too. The car is in GOOD DRIVER CONDITION. It's not a show car (though it could be if you choose) but it's not a rust bucket either and it's not a GTA. It has drum brakes and no power steering (Old School). The Motor and Trans were rebuilt 6 years ago but has only about 20 hours of run time and 80 miles on them as the car has been sitting for the most part after the rebuild. The rear seal on the motor has starting leaking I guess from sitting (3-4 drips) after running the motor. The aluminized exhaust was installed at the same time as the motor and transmission. It has a Edlebrock carb and intake. I have the correct intake manifold but not the original carb that will go with the car. This Mustang runs. drives and stops good.
Interior is good and gauges. speedo. horn. wipers and lights HI and Low beam. turn signals including hood signals. nbsp;heater fan work. I added a oil pressure gauge and it starts at 50 psi and idles at 30 psi when warm. The GT fog lights are not hooked up as they didn't come new with the car. The console which is in fair to good condition with some pitting in the aluminum is not fully bolted to the floor and did not come with car when built. The seats. dash pad. carpet. and panels are all intact and in good to very good condition. It has the rear fold down seat that is in good condition and the trap door.
The body has some dings. body work and a few small chips. nbsp;but the base coat clear coat paint still shines good and is the original color of Vintage Burgandy. Quarters. front driver. passenger floor pans and front fenders were replaced when restored around 13 years ago by 2nd owner. The hood has had body work done to it. The glass is all original with some scratches and all trim is nice. I had the OEM bumpers rechromed and just installed them. The NOS rocker panel molding where just taking out of the original packaging and installed. I have a NOS Horse and Corral that have not installed that will go with the car. There are some jack dents on the frame from jacking the car up over the years but there is no rust on the chassis. The frontend steering has some new parts. The motor bay is very clean as is the trunk area and the battery is only 6 months old. Tires and rims and brakes are all in good condition.
Comes with Original Build Sheet. fender tag. distributor tag and owners manual.

Please only serious buyers. If you are the winning bidder. expect to buy it. It doesn't mean you have the right to look at it and decide if you really want it.
I have tried to describe the Mustang the best I could and it is being sold as is condition. I have more money invested in my Mustang than my reserve price which I think it's more then fair. Good Luck!
