BACKGROUND:  This is a superb frame-off restoration of a very solid 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air coupe.   If you found a very nice. original un-restored Bel Air. and took it to a professional restorer to duplicate the quality and significant upgrades this car has. you would likely need to invest at least $125. 00. perhaps even more.

In virtually EVERY way. this car has been made to be FAR BETTER than new.

It is NOT for everyone…this classic is "investment grade" and only for the most serious and discriminating collectors and enthusiasts.

The restoration objective was to produce a concours-quality car. with many convenience and safety improvements so that the car could be enjoyed on today's modern roads and highways.

Everything tested for the listing works beautifully. with the exception of the horns. as they are original to the car and would require a relay to operational.   Another solution would be for the new owner to install and connect a modern horn system.

INVESTMENT POTENTIAL:  For many years. the best classics of the 1930s – Duesenbergs for example – bring well over $1 million dollars.   The best of the 1940s   have increased to dizzying heights. Finally. the 1950s are now well recognized as the most glamorous and flamboyant of ANY decade.   1950 cars - and especially the recognized "gold standard" 1950s cars such as the 1957 Bel Air - are virtually guaranteed of very handsome appreciation for decades to come.

It would be extremely difficult – if not impossible – to commission a restoration of this quality and specification for a Bel Air for less than $125. 00. and quite likely. it would cost more.

IMPORTANT FINAL REMARKS & CONDITIONS OF SALE. the Buyer will receive a Notarized Bill of Sale and the Georgia-issued registration certificate.   The state of Georgia did not begin issuing titles for cars until 1963…therefore NO car produced before 1963 is ever issued a Georgia title.   However. Georgia requires that evidence of purchase/ownership be shown when registering any pre-1963 vehicle…and the resultant pre-1963 (“Non-Title”) registration document then serves as proof of the seller's ownership.

For most practical purposes. this car was made “new” via its painstaking frame-off restoration process. Though every practical effort has been made to “renew” the car…it remains a 57 year-old vehicle with 57 year-old technology.   Therefore. the sale is strictly on an as-is and final basis with no warranty or liability expressed or implied.
