PAINT & BODY

THE PAINT ON THIS CAR IS 90% ORIGINAL AND BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED; IT'S SMOOTH AS GLASS AND HAS A MIRROR LIKE SHINE; A SHOW QUALITY FINISH.
 
THESE CARS ARE ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE AND WITH SUCH A RARE LOW MILE EXAMPLE OF A TRUE SURVIVOR IN HAND; WE BEGAN THE PAINSTAKING PROCESS OF RESTORING WHAT WE COULD OF ITS ORIGINAL FACTORY LACQUER AND SPOT BLENDING THE ROUGH AREAS TO PERFECTION. THIS PROCESS TOOK SEVERAL WEEKS TO COMPLETE BUT THE END RESULT SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.    WE NOW HAVE A FINISH THAT IS A TRUE SHOW PIECE.   PLEASE REFER TO THE HD VIDEO PROVIDED IN THIS LISTING TO SEE THE RESULTS UP CLOSE.  
 
FACTORY PAINT RESTORATION PROCESS PREFORMED:
 
THIS WAS A VERY DELICATE AND TIME CONSUMING PROCESS THE FACTORY LACQUER PAINT WAS WET SANDED WITH 2000 GRIT VERY LIGHTLY TO REMOVE ALL SCRATCHES AND IMPERFECTIONS. THEN ALL THE THIN SPOTS NEEDING PAINT WERE TOUCHED UP AND FEATHERED OUT WITH A LACQUER PAINT BLEND THAT WAS MATCHED  99. 9% TO THE CARS ORIGINAL FACTORY PAINT; AFTER THAT. IT WAS ONCE AGAIN WET SANDED AND BUFF UP TO A MIRROR SHINE. LACQUER PAINT IS VERY THIN SO MULTIPLE COATS CAN BE APPLIED WITH NO ISSUES. ONCE MORE. ANY IMPERFECTIONS OR THINNED OUT EDGES WHERE TOUCHED UP AGAIN AND THE PROCESS REPEATED UNTIL EVERYTHING WAS SMOOTH AND MATCHED UP PERFECTLY. FINALLY. A HIGH GLOSS LACQUER CLEAR SEALER WAS SPRAYED OVER THE ENTIRE CAR TO PRESERVE THE FACTORY ORIGINAL PAINT UNDERNEATH.  IT WAS ONCE AGAIN WET-SANDED AND BUFFED TO A MIRROR SHINE. THIS CAR HAD THE HOOD PAINTED BEFORE BUT COLOR WAS OFF SO THE HOOD HAD TO BE FULLY PAINTED. BESIDES THE HOOD AND A FEW OTHER SMALL SPOTS. THE REST IS ALL FACTORY PAINT.

ALL DOOR JAMS AND OPENINGS REMAIN UNTOUCHED AND WITH NO ROUGH EDGES OR ANY SIGNS OF FRESH PAINT.
