1969 Alfa Romeo

A Rare and Beautiful Italian Road Car
I purchased a 1976 BMW 2002 several years ago. only to have it stolen.  While looking for another. a friend told me to test drive an Alfa Romeo Berlina.  OK. "What's an Alfa Romeo Berlina?"  Although difficult to find (especially in this condition). the words "dual overhead cam" and "five speed"  and "fuel injected" sounded interesting to me.  My search culminated when the original owner of this beautiful car sold it to me a few years ago. He purchased it in Italy in 1969 and brought it with him when his business relocated to Dallas. TX.  I drove it several miles yesterday and it is a dream to drive!  It handles like an old 356 Porsche I used to drive handled.  After relocating to Dallas. the owner put A/C in the car and had it resprayed.  The A/C has been disconnected-it is non-operative.  He also rebuilt the engine. but I do not have the paperwork for the rebuild. so bid as though you'll eventually have to do a rebuild.  When I purchased it. the mechanic I had look it over. did some work on the original SPICA fuel injector system and said that it had been very well kept and tuned properly.  The car has travelled a total of 159k miles since new.  The original owner told me that it had never been in an accident.  It is being sold without warrantee and since it is 45 years old.  it is sold absolutely "as is. "  Please see my feedback and do your due-diligence before bidding. There are flaws that you need to be aware of;  One of the photos shows underneath the rear of the car.  Like BMW's the truck seals tended to leak over time.  Although fine now.  you can see that rust has formed under the spare tire.  I see no urgent need to immediately in replacing the tire pan. but you need to be aware of it.  Two other photos shows splitting of the uphostery in the rear seat and on the dash.  The drivers seat also has a small split.   To make this car perfect would cost very little.  The seatbelt harnesses are absolutely amazing!  I'm thinning the herd~
