1971 Gmc C15 Truck Short bed v8 Auto. Newer year bed, new rockers, corners floor for sale
Current customer rating: (422 votes ) based onEngine:I do think the engine is probably a 350. not sure if its the original engine. It has a high rise intake. edelbrock carb. headers. chrome valve covers. New starterThe engine runs but runs sloppy at idle but runs good as long as the throttle is pressed. It could use a good tune up and it currently is running on a bottle. The original gas tank is still in the cab but not hooked up. I'm not sure if it is any good but most of these have rust in the tank so it may not be. It will drive around. I have not started it though since late november last year.
Body:The body is pretty smooth wouldn't take a whole lot of work to get it ready for paint. Part of it is primered black and the other part has some kind of flat paint on it. The body has a few new parts. New rocker panels. new floor pan. new cab corners. looks to be done right. no cracking or signs of heavy body filler. The doors are in really good condition. I don't see any holes as they truck usually have. They are original GM doors too. The truck has new wheels. new chrome door handles. new gas cap seal. new door rubber still in plastic. The glass looks good. no cracks. It is missing 1- inner fender. The seat is fair. has a rip. the dash pad looks good. the door panels are metal and they look good. Inside the cab and dash has been painted shiny black. The floor pan is shiny as well just has some overspray on it. The worst thing about the body is they did not replace the cab mounts and they have some rust on them. It has new chrome wheels just a few months old. It does need tires. One of the rear leaf spring saddles needs replaced.
The truck has a new master cylinder and the front brakes work. but I can't get the rear brakes to bleed so it may need some new lines.
I've had this truck since about September and I planned on restoring it. I have a lot more in it than what I'm starting the auction at. but I'm willing to take a loss. This is a project truck. so expect minor things to be wrong with the truck. such as headlights not working. guages not working. Small dents and dings. small missing pieces. This is an old truck and has never been restored. with a little work and money it would be a really nice truck.
The winning bidder must send a $500 deposit through Paypal and must pick up the truck within 30 days with the remaining balance in cash or send a check in the mail. once cleared can pick up the truck. The truck is not able to be driven and must be hauled. We have a loading dock and can get it on about anything. We also build and sell trailers if you do no have a trailer.
I've tried to think of everything I know about this truck. If you have any questions or want to see more pictures please feel free to message me.
This Truck is being sold AS-IS with no warranty. You are buying the truck as if it does not run. because it seems like everytime I sell an old car/truck it will not start when the buyer comes to pick it up. It did start and run in November but may not start now. It needs the carb cleaned out with a good gas tank and fresh gas.
I'm starting the auction off at 2. 00 with no reserve. Happy Bidding
