1948 Chrysler Town and Country Sedan Woodie   This rare woodie was originally purchased and owned by the Breyers Ice Cream Company in Pennsylvania and was used to transport the Breyer family and executives.   It was driven for 9 years and then put into storage where it was all but forgotten for 24 years.   In 1980 it was sold to an avid car collector. where it became part of an extensive Chrysler collection.   It was later moved to Mena. Arkansas as part of that growing collection.   In 2010 the Collection of over 100 cars was sold off . nd this Chrysler was included. It end up in northern California in a private collection    Only 1. 75 of the '48 T&C Sedans were ever made and . very few are known to exist today.   The car has 72. 00 original miles on it and is fully in the original configuration. including roof racks. white-wall tires. and spotlight.   It is also wearing what is left of the original Catalina Tan finish.   The body is made of white ash with mahogany veneer panels.   In 2011. the car underwent a complete mechanical rebuild. using all original parts and specs.   It has the original 6-cylinder flathead spitfire engine . which is fully rebuilt and balanced ;and fluid drive semi-automatic transmission. and runs and drives like it did when it was new. This car can be driven anywhere without worry---it is an amazing find. As they say---only original once---408 892 5959
