The old saying in racing asks. "How fast can you afford to go?" but this spectacular 1967 Chevrolet Nova neatly answers the question by saying that you can own a legitimate 10-second street/strip race piece for pennies on the dollar compared to building one yourself. The fact that it also looks like a show car is only icing on the cake.


Any car with a stance like this and a lift-off hood means serious business. Notice the huge meats out back. the cage. and the thundering exhaust note. none of that is purely for show. This Nova is an apex predator on the street and at the strip it's an absolute blast. Of course. you'll have to get past the beautifully rendered bodywork and paint first. but that shouldn't be hard. It looks fantastic in every way. from the brilliant red paint to the laser-sharp bodywork that keeps all of the original looks with none of the grocery-getter hardware. Despite the massive horsepower. the doors open and close easily. the big fiberglass hood fits right. and all the lights. trim. and glass were retained so it's a legit street car. Chrome bumpers took a trip to the plater's shop. it's got a stock grille. and those Super Sport badges on the quarters aren't just wishful thinking-if anything qualifies as a super sport. it's this car.


Yes. it's race-car basic inside. but with lightweight buckets for two. the track isn't its only home. However. the full cage is built to withstand the rigors of 10-second passes and the controls are set up for getting the most out of every run. The basic Nova instrument panel remains. but the important gauges are from Auto Meter. and include a big Monster Tach hanging from the cage overhead and a pair of auxiliary instruments in the dash. No radio. no A/C. not even a clock. but things like the B&M shifter and the MSD brain box on the dash suggest that commuting isn't this car's primary mission. Full carpets help civilize the beast a bit and control noise and heat. too. so you really can drive it without complaints on the street. Heck. it still has windshield wipers! Thanks to the wheel tubs. there is no back seat and the trunk is filled with a fuel cell and a battery. all finished in factory-style spatter paint.


Big horsepower comes from big engines. and this is a 555 cubic inch big block Chevy wearing Brodix heads and a Dart aluminum manifold with a Holley 1150 Dominator. A full roller cam controls the valves and the aforementioned MSD ignition lights the fires. The cage reinforces the front end and keeps it light with tubular A-arms and disc brakes up front. A 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission is an old drag racer's favorite slushbox and it spins a custom-made Ford 9-inch with 4. 56 gears inside that launch the car like a Saturn V rocket. The tube chassis makes it light. strong. and safe. while the tubbed rear wheel housings permit the use of those stock rear quarter panels and mammoth Mickey Thompson street slicks.


Yes. this is a full race piece. Radical and fast. it isn't for everyone. But if you are familiar with what it takes to make a car this fast. then you'll recognize that this is one heck of a bargain. Call today!

TERMS OF SALE  

1. Per the eBay User Agreement. by placing a bid you are entering into a legally binding contract and are committed to purchasing the vehicle described above. The details of this commitment are further outlined in the eBay User Agreement.

2. Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

3. The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

4. A $1. 00 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction's close.   This deposit reserves the vehicle and removes it from the market. Acceptable payment types for deposit are: credit card. wire transfer. cashier's check. and money order.

5. If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

6. Streetside Classic Cars has represented this vehicle to the best of its ability. Prospective bidders are encouraged to contact us directly to provide additional information or answer any questions.

7. Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles. regardless of age. mileage. or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Streetside Classic Cars encourages bidder to have a personal inspection completed prior to delivery to help ensure your satisfaction. Third party inspections are to take place prior to a vehicles shipment or delivery.

8. All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied.

9. Final or winning bid price does not include shipping. tax. title. or registration fees. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide for any state or local taxes and shipping expenses resulting from the sale.

10. We can assist you in delivery through our network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody.

11. Streetside Classic Cars bears no liability and shall be held harmless for any complications. expenses. or damages resulting from a failure to meet these terms as they have been set forth and established herein.

12. An additional documentation fee of $199 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale.
