Balancing. and Machine work:  All parts went through a completely rigorous test and rejection procedure.   Just because it was new in the box did not mean it was assumed to be good.   Rods were cut and matched to weigh within . 3 grams of each other. then the crank with rods were balanced to within . 5 grams.   Even though this engine has solid grade 8 steel mounts. and the car has solid aluminum body mounts you cant feel this engine idle with your hand on the fender or while sitting in the seat!  It is completely smooth through the whole RPM range (see dyno video for proof https://vimeo. com/87726372 )  Description:
333 Cubic Inch Engine
  This engine is an 8000 rpm redline. 550+ Crankshaft HP pump gas street legal engine.   Crane cams custom ground a completely one off spec. solid roller cam just for this engine.   It idles at about 1200 rpm and starts to really pull at about 4000 rpm.   Just off idle this engine has more than 200HP!  This engine has more than $35K. just in parts. not including machine work and assembly (receipts included with sale).  
The design is based on the NASCAR and Winston cup engines. and shares most of the same parts on the bottom end.   It is a Heavy duty. high nickel. 350 block. bored . 030 over. and de-stroked to a 3. 268 stroke. and using exceptionally strong and long Con rods (6. 250).   This combo of short stroke. favorable stroke to rod ratio. dynamic balance (less than . 5 grams) by knife edging the crank. and high rejection rate parts swap blueprint assembly (resulting in fully assembled short block friction drag less than 60 ft/lbs dry at the crank). more than 70lbs removed from the rotating/reciprocating assembly (super light billet steel flywheel & Kevlar clutch assembly. aluminum Fluidamper. knife edged Sonny Bryant crank. 625g steel Carrillo rods. CV Products custom pulley set). the best oil control of any wet sump system (titan pump. custom 6 baffle road race oil pan. windage tray. 3 crank scrapers. and remote filter and cooler with anti drain back valves) full roller valve train. and extremely low parasitic power loss from driving accessories with a custom set of lightened pulleys driving accessories at the completely correct speed. Xceldyne cam belt drive. electric water pump. roller bearing oil pump. and a roller bearing billet distributor.
 ALL of these factors make this engine rev like a motorcycle. and make MAX power for the fuel consumed. with a fully chassis dyno tuned 411 rear wheel HP at 7000 rpm. while cruising at 60 MPH on the highway the car gets 18-20 MPG.   Best of all this engine has less than 30 hours of run time (dyno. break in. tuning). and just 600 miles of use (road test. track test. including to and from the test 120 miles away in West Virginia used to measure highway fuel consumption).

Tilton rigid mount hydraulic release bearing. Bell housing: Tilton. Hydro formed steel safety bell housing. Shifter: Hurst Super Speedway with push down reverse lockout and custom heim joint linkage. Driveshaft: Mark Williams 4" Aluminum shaft with billet steel yokes on both ends. with  a critical speed of 11. 20 rpm. and tested to 3. 00 ft-lbs of TQ. Rear end: 10 Bolt with center section professionally welded 360 deg to axle tubes then re-machined and line bored to ensure a true axle angle. Mark Williams center section bearing retainers. and billet yoke. 30 spline Yukon axles. 4. 10 Yukon forged gears. Detroit Truetrac Worm gear posi. Description:
This drive train was built to sustain the rigors of racing and the stop and go of a daily commute in rush hour.   That's why it was almost $15K in parts and labor.   It will not break.  
The transmission was almost redesigned by an infamous local trans shop.   Synchros were retained for drivability. but they were replaced with redesigned versions from a NASCAR variant of this trans to withstand the 8000 RPM redline this engine produces.   The clutch is equally bipolar. with a simple 10. 5" diaphragm design for ease of use. reliability. and consistency but with a radically reduced mass (this alone reduced the engine rotating mass by 32lbs)  and a super tough and sticky Kevlar material on the clutch disk.   The drive shaft and yokes are custom made by Mark Williams Enterprises and they are completely bullet proof. balanced and amazingly light.
The rear axle has been completely machined with new billet bearing retainers. welded axle tubes. and line honed for perfect axle alignment.   The 30 spline forged Yukon gear axles are driven by stress relieved. cryo treated. Yukon 4. 10 gears and a Detroit Truetrac worm gear posi that offers a silky smooth engagement and torque splitting to both wheels in perfect proportion.   This compliments the QA1 and global west category 5 leaf spring suspension that allows the rear to 'pivot' like 4 wheel steering!  No other package delivers this kind of confidence in a turn or in a straight line. including modern unequal length arm independent rear suspension found in Italian super cars.   In short. this drive line will last no matter how the car is driven.
