Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.15) based on 449 votes

1955 Chevy 210 2dr sedan powered by a +. 030” 400 SBC and a Saginaw 4-speed transmission with a Hurst shifter.   Rearend is the original.   Car has had some patchwork done in the floor pans. but is overall a very solid car. including the body mounts.   Entire interior is brand new custom leather over original '55 seats.   Also has brand new carpet and headliner / etc.  Car has had the dash and door jambs painted already and could be finish painted with a minimum of work…. Assuming you like the color.   (I was thinking two tone Black / Silver)

Color: 2004 suburban / Silver Birch metallic - Paint Code---   926L

CAR HAS NEW (this is a partial list – have receipts for some. but just installation instructions for others – Just what's listed is about $4. 00+ worth of stuff)…. Don't know the exact amount spent. as I bought it from a friend and was afraid to ask – But trust me it's A LOT!!!

Motor was gone through - new rings / bearing / cam / etc.

-          Custom leather interior

-          Billet dash insert with Autometer gauges

-          Complete Wiring (American Autowire)

-          Side mount engine mounts

-          Edelbrock Performer carb. w/ electric choke (choke works)

-          Tubular transmission crossmember / mount

-          Powermaster Powermax starter

-          Front end components replaced as needed

-          Seat belts – aftermarket shoulder belts (fit for this car)

-          Stereo (looks old school but isn't)

-          Electric windshield wipers

-          Radio antenna

-          Dynamat sound / heat insulation

-          Window fuzzies

-          Gauges (custom fit for 55 dash)

-          Heater control valve

-          MSD Blaster coil

-          Power Disc front brake kit

-          Power brake booster / master cylinder / proportioning valve (all matched to each other)

-          Tachometer

-          Vent window seals

-          Upper door hinge seals

-          Door weather strip

-          Hood / cowl seals

-          Window stops

-          Firewall to hood seal

-          Billet distributor

-          Battery hold down

-          Package shelf

-          Trunk cardboards

-          Window cranks

-          Vent window cranks

-          License plate bracket

-          Heater core

-          Heater control valve

-          Bumper guards

-          Ignition switch

-          Comp Cams 268H camshaft

-          Engine gasket kit

-          Flywheel

-          Oil pump

-          Moly piston rings

-          Torque Thrust wheels / tires

-          Trunk mat

-          Coated headers

-          Battery is new

WHAT I'VE DONE TO THE CAR:

-          Install new drop springs (1”) and then cut off extra for desired ride height (small amount of rake)

-          New 1-piece Felpro oil pan gasket (was cork - leaking)

-          New Felpro rear main seal ( was new. but I was there anyway)

-          Rebuild 4-speed (new synchros / seals / bearings) – all quality parts

-          Install 15” steering wheel

-          Fix leak on waterneck

-          Adjust choke / carb.

-          Fix exhaust system leaks / etc.

-          Add diode to alternator (starter re-engage when turned off)

-          Add floormats

Car runs and drives well and has plenty of power

Things I think need changed:

-          A car like this should have full exhaust over the rear axle and out the back (right now it stops right before the rear end – sounds good though)

-          Previous owners riveted in some floor patches. would like to have them welded in…BUT I'm far too lazy to disassemble the whole entire interior to do so

-          Speedometer makes an annoying noise…Not sure if it's the cable needs re-routed or the speedo itself has an issue or?? (it's all new parts??)

All in all a VERY nice car with lots of money and time spent on it……And cheaper than building one yourself when you figure what a decent '55 goes for these days BEFORE being re-done…. Then add to that all of the parts and time that went into this car. and it becomes a real bargain. If you do the paint yourself. it should be a money-maker when it's done. Or just drive and enjoy it!!!!
