Paperwork:
This Corvette is currently registered in the State of Alabama. and licensed to operate on the street. I have a current Alabama registration. and will also provide a notarized bill of sale to the buyer. I also have the previous Missouri title to this car. signed over to me by the previous owner.

Body:
Body panels are all original on this car except for the driver's side front fender and driver's door. The original driver's door is available (and I cannot find anything wrong with it). Car comes with the door of the buyer's choice. The front fender that was replaced was not done properly. and needs to be redone. Car is mostly in bare fiberglass after having been sandblasted. The sandblasting did some damage to the fiberglass.

Both doors have the interior components. including window regulators. door latching hardware. door glass is currently removed from the doors. All of these components are currently in the trunk. and are included with the car.

Drivetrain:
Engine is a 1956 passenger car four barrel engine (FB suffix code). Engine was rebuilt when I got the car. and has about 500 miles on it. The rebuild was not a quality rebuild (knurled pistons. rope rear main seal). The engine is a Flint casting dated in January of 1956. The intake manifold is a 1958-1959 vintage. the carburetor is a 1956 vintage Rochester 4GC with the choke removed.

The oil pan on the engine is a correct 1956 Corvette pan. and the distributor is the original distributor for this car. The distributor is numbered 1110872. and is dated 6 C 5 (March 5. 1956). The generator is a 1956 passenger car power steering unit (numbered 1102041). The end plates on the 1956 passenger car power steering generator are the same as the Corvette tach drive generator. so conversion to a correct Corvette generator is as easy as replacing the generator tag.

The correct 1119001 voltage regulator. dated 6C (March. 56). and the correct 1110913 horn relay are with the car.

The transmission is a Turbo 350 trans. which was built for racing. It is too much transmission for this engine. The engine rpms at idle are set high so that the engine will stay running while in gear.

The original rear end is still in this car. It is correctly numbered and dated March of 1956. The metal ratio tag. indicating 3. 55 ratio. is still attached to the rear end.

Chassis:
The chassis is believed to be original to this car. but the frame VIN has not been verified. The rear springs are original. and helper springs were added in the past. The front suspension is also original. and has not been rebuilt to my knowledge. The steering column installed in the car is the shorter column from a 1960 Corvette. The original longer steering column for this 56 Corvette is included with the car. The steering wheel currently installed is a smaller aftermarket steering wheel. The original beige steering wheel is included with the car.

The frame has some surface rust. and small rust holes in the rear cross member only. The frame is straight and solid throughout.

Interior:
The original seat hardware is in good shape. The seat frames are solid. and the springs are in good shape. The original soft top frame is also in good shape. with very little surface rust. The seat material and soft top material needs to be replaced.

All of the original instruments are still installed in the dash. The instruments are not currently connected to the engine (a small three gauge set is mounted under the dash). The original Wonderbar radio and power supply are still mounted in the dash as well. All of the dash switches are still in the dash except the wiper switch. A small toggle switch has been mounted in the dash to operate the correctly numbered 1956 wiper motor. The original wiper switch cable (disassembled) is included with the car (if I can figure out where I put it).

Wheels:
A set of four late 1970s vintage GM steel wheels with radial tires.   Tiares are about 5 years old and have about 1000 miles on them.

Overall Condition:
This car is a running and driving. street legal car. needing a complete restoration. The brakes have been completely rebuilt. using new wheel cylinders. The original wheel cylinders are included with the car. The original brake master cylinder (correctly numbered) was professionally rebuilt. The car is currently running on 1970s vintage 15 x 6 steel wheels and new radial tires.

The original engine block. heads. and 2 four barrel setup are no longer with the car. While duplicating a correct block would not be difficult. purchasing the correct 2x4 barrel cylinder heads. intake manifold. exhaust manifolds. and correct carburetors would be expensive.

Given the build date of this car. a single four barrel engine is a much more affordable option. Replicating the block would cost the same either way. but the 56 powerpack heads are much easier to locate. In fact. the engine currently in the car has the correct single four barrel heads. The single four barrel intake manifold is an easy part to find. and I have a rebuildable WCFB 2366SA carburetor. dated February of 1956. The only expensive item with this option is the single four barrel air cleaner. which is available reproduction. but is not cheap.

Note on pricing options: None of the additional parts are available separately prior to the sale of the car.

Please confirm whether your 1967 Corvette is still for sale? If so, is all the chrome in tack?

Best Wishes,
Richard
