1957 Chevrolet 3200 Pick Up Truck V8 Hot Rod

We've had a few of these. and this without doubt is the finest example by far :

Body:
All steel body with total frame off restoration carried out and completed October 2012. The colour is Ford Black. All are original panels except for the nearside rear fender. hich replaced the existing spare wheel cut out fender with a cut out free type to give the truck symmetry. The only welding required was in the front fender lower corners.
Full Windscreen steel visor in Black.
The truck was fitted with new hood springs and door hinges. new glass all round. including all seals and rubbers.
The inside fuel tank was removed and a new 18 gallon stainless steel tank was fitted under the rear bed and fed through a new flush chrome lockable filler cap. All new interior and exterior chrome including new 3200 side fender embellishers.

Front End:
A new complete TCI Mustang 2 front clip including independent suspension which lowers front by 4ins. ower steering. New cross member up graded stainless steel upper and lower control arms. Disc brakes. All the above is new from TCI and all spares are readily available direct from them.
All the above has covered only 2300 miles.


Rear End:
Along with the front TCI kit . he truck also has new rear leaf springs. struts and brackets and it lowers the rear by 4ins. o the whole trucks sits really nice

Engine:
New crate motor. meding 350 Classic 5. 7ltr giving 340 BHP with 360ft lb of torque(these motors are all new with GM blocks and Dart Cylinders and come complete with Edelbrock dual plane EPS)leads. lugs. hrome timing cover and chrome sump.
It's topped off with an Edelbrock 600 CFM manual choke and Edelbrock Elite Filter with K&N Element. all new links and springs etc.
Edelbrock Victor Endurashine High flow water pump with billet pulleys.
Maval power steering pump with billet ally pulley all new.
New 140 Amp Internally Regulated High Output Alternator with billet pulley and brackets.
Facet chrome fuel pump with new speed flow fuel lines and billet fuel filter and braided fuel lines.
New speed flow oil cooler rad and braided lines and fittings.
New Billet water expansion tank.
All new sender units to feed new dash and clock assembly.
TCI engine mounts

Transmission:
Rebuilt 350 Turbo 3 speed Trans with new TCI Sizzler Torque converter and Kugel components. stainless steel shift linkage.

Exhaust:
New stainless steel headers and bespoke Stainless steel dual 21/2 exhausts with cherry bombs.

Brakes:
TCI Dual power brake under floor servo cylinder to couple up the New front disc brakes with new callipers and rear drums. all being plumbed in with new copper mainline and stainless steel braided hoses to all corners with the correct Pressure Regulating valves and an adjustable valve switch to adjust pressure to the rear. as drums take less pressure than front brakes.

Rear Axle:
Rebuilt rear axle by Hauser Racing. which they rebuilt with all new shafts. seals and bearings…. it was then blasted and black powder coated.
Not sure of the gearing ratio. but it's quite low and cruises comfortably at 85/90mph and returns about 18mpg.

Interior:
All new interior finished in magnolia leather. with red and black accents. new red carpeting with black over mats trimmed in red. new door trim and all new handles and catches.
New checker plate cab steps and “Chevy” alloy step side covers. New flaming river stainless tilt steering column with illuminated gear change. billet floor mount and billet drop yoke. special spoked steering wheel…all this connects to the rack with Borgesson Joints .
Lokar stainless throttle pedal and linkages.
The music is supplied via a retro period Custom Autosound 230 mp3 player.
New Europa spares heater/demister unit.
Reposition battery behind seats. 2 lapbelts
Chromed handbrake lever.
New chromed door mirrors.

Electrics:
Completely rewired in conduit and using all new accessories. witches. ights. ndicators. usebox. elays.
New Shark industries dash and clocks.
New electric washer system.
Halogen headlight conversion.

Wheels:
Keystone Classic Polished 5 spoke alloy rims with Cragar 3 arm centre caps new Electra 2 P205/75/15 tyres with 40mm whitewalls.

Rear Bed:
All timbers have been stripped and given 12 coats of yacht vanish lacquer and all new stainless steel strips have been fitted.
New tailgate with dampened opening.
New rear licence plate bracket.
