Mercedes Benz 190 SL 1963

Mercedes 190sl with over 5. 00 euros of new parts and approx. 3. 00euros of extra spares.

Here we have a Mercedes 190sl from 1963. All matching numbers car.

The car has been in storage since 1984 and approx. 2 years ago the restoration work was started. and was converted to LHD.

The car has had all rusty panels cut out and new floors and panels welded in. and has had replacement front wings fitted as well.

The engine I was told was rebuilt about 5 years ago and has been turned over regularly since then.

All the running gear. gearbox. back axle and suspension and brake system has been put back into the car and it rolls freely. with brake and fuel ines connected up.

The great news is that the car comes with a huge amount of both new and used spares that will be surplus to the restoration requirements.

This includes.

A professionally fully rebuilt pair of original solex  phh carbs.

New windscreen. and door glass and rubbers. /strong>

New ali brake drums. /strong>

New king pins. /strong>

New clutch and plate. /strong>

5 whitewall tires

Brake lines and fuel lines

New headlights

New chrome parts. door bolts  etc. etc.

There is also a host of extra second hand parts that come with the car that will be surplus to the restoration requirement.  Spare starter. dynamo. wiper motors. crank. doors. boot. rocker cover. sump. oil pump. complete front and rear suspension. rear axle. front sub frame. lights etc  but to name a few items.

 I estimate a total of approx. 8. 00 euros of new and used parts are with the car. it even has the rare sliding wheel brace as well.

She has the soft top frame in excellent condition. and a hard top. all seats and door cards are present but will need work. all the gauges are present as well.

 Unfortunately the original Uk log book has been lost over time. but we do have a letter from Mercedes confirming the build and all numbers that match up. inc the engine no. and oviously I will supply a full bill of sale and show the bill of purchase from the previous owner.

Make no mistake she will require a lot of work to get her back on the road but with values reaching over 110. 00e now for fully restored cars it makes a great and worthwhile project for someone.

I have to many cars and do not get the time I would like to work on them so that's why I am thinking of selling the Mercedes. but please be aware I am not desparate or broke so no silly offers please as if it does not sell I will just keep her and one day make the time she deserves to restore her.
