All original California Car

You are bidding on an all original unmolested 1965 Ford Mustang.  I have owned this car for 7 years. New Buy it now price is a great DEAL!!!! Very competitive to Hagerty Price Reports for this car.  

The car was registered in L. A. CA until 1990 when it came to Ontario. and has been here since as I was told. I am classic car enthousiast and am selling as I no longer have the time to attend to the car.  This is a real head turner; always gets thumbs up and is a regular at car shows.

The car is believed to a # matching drivetrain. nbsp;valvetrain and holds all original sheetmetal.  The DATA plate matches the VIN on the front left fender and assembly date on the left front fender and cowls indicating authenticity.  The car shows 83. 00 miles which are believed to be original based on the registration history and condition of the car.

Car came with original black vinyl top roof. power steering. and A/C that was dealer installed. As a California car. it also came with 4 original seat belts with original markings. Also. nbsp;original tags and stampings can be found on all major engine and drivetrain components further denoting authenticity (carb. intake. power steering res. . rear end. transmission housing. radiator and others).

The following work has been performed on the car:　

-Full transmission rebuild (including new clutch spring. new clutch dust shoe in transmission case).

-Window and door seals weatherstripping.

-New Grant woodgrain steering wheel. New ProTach tachometer. Rust proofed undercarriage.

-New Suspension (comprised of Grab a Track package from Mustangs Plus: 4 leaf standard eye springs. nbsp;Grab a Track front 620 pound coils. nbsp;Koni 4 shocks. nbsp;Subframe connectors. nbsp;Grab a Track 1 inch front sway bar. nbsp;Grab a Track ¾ inch rear sway bar. export brace).

-Engine maintenance (All new timing chain. nbsp;sprockets. nbsp;timing chain cover. nbsp;heater hoses. nbsp;radiator hoses. nbsp;ring gear. valve covers cleaned. nbsp;motor mounts. nbsp;Petronix ignition. electrical cables running through steering column (brakes and turn signals). nbsp;power steering ram seals. power steering lines. frost plugs. nbsp;front and rear u-joints. nbsp;fuel sending unit in fuel tank. starter. front and rear brake lines. air cleaner. battery).

-Rear End maintenance (Rear end seals. diff servicing. reconditioning and oil change).

-Original American Racing Torque Thrust 14inch rims riding on Michelin all season radials.

-Heater Core.

Everything works on the car. Strong running 289 V8. RUNS GREAT and is FAST with strong power reserve. Not afraid to light up the rear tires. Fires right up fires right up and sounds great with true dual exhaust.  The carb is the original Autolite 2100 with choke. The power steering works great and makes the car amazingly easy to drive and park. The gears shift great as does he clutch. and all turn signals work as do all lights including rear back up lights. Horn also works including all interior lighting.  Brakes work amazingly well.  The car has the original 4 drum brakes and with the new brake lines and stops on the dime.  It handles amazingly well given the suspension upgrades. Heater works flawlessly as does the original A/C fan unit.

The car has the original A/C compressor that requires conversion and hoses and condenser reconditioning. All heating works (blows very hot) and the A/C unit fan works flawlessly.

Interior looks great. Only aftermarket parts are the steering wheel. tach and radio; works but needs re-wiring to dashboard speaker.  

All glass and trim on car is in great condition and the chrome shines nicely.  

The vinyl top seems to be in in excellent condition for its age.

The paint on the car is the original vintage burgundy and has been repainted once as I've been told.  

The only items not working are the radio that needs wiring and the A/C. The car has the original A/C compressor that requires conversion and hoses and condenser. All heating works (blows very hot) and the A/C unit fan works flawlessly.  The left rear window regulator has jammed and needs looking after.  

These cars are notorious for rust. however. this car only has only minor surface rust in the new leaf springs that were not undercoated and timing cover in the engine bay.  I had started detailing the engine bay but decided not to. as I did not have time and did not want to just spray paint it to make it look nice.  I will leave it as is for the new owner. The car has a brand new air cleaner.   

Car will be sold with rear spare tire. jacks. and booster cables as shown in the pics. Also will come with Black California Plates. owners booklet. and service records as well as Maintenance Manuals.

This is the perfect car to enter the classic car hobby. and to appreciate and take car of and watch it appreciate in price. I drive this car regularly to car shows and over great distances with no worries. If you are looking for an all original unmolested car with appeal this is the car you want. It's also the perfect platform for a concourse restoration as I have been told as it holds all the original tags which are impossible to find nowadays.

I have described the car to the best of my knowledge based on my research and mechanics attending to the car. I have overseen all repairs to the car and sourced all new parts from classic car part suppliers as I am not a mechanic.
