This car is not for the Corvette Purist but for someone who appreciates a beautiful classic car that sounds awesome. looks awesome and drives awesome. It will be the envy of all your friends and you will constantly turn heads.

For consideration is a unique 1969 Corvette L-71 Sport Couple; VIN #194379S710984. This car lay dormant for 23 years which is one reason the 33. 34 miles are documented original miles. This is not a matching numbers car (the motor was an original 427 435 HP tri power) as it has a 1969 GM crate engine that was sent out and was bored. balanced and blueprinted and was put on the dyno and registered 675+ horse power. The car has an M-22 close ratio transmission. a 3. 70 positraction rear end (was 4. 11) and other modifications have been made to the car to bring it to its intent as an L-88 tribute. The car was professionally restored (complete body-off) in 1996 with just over 26. 00 miles on it so only 7. 00 miles have been put on since the restoration in 1996. The car was factory painted #988 Burgundy and was repainted 40th anniversary Ruby Red and clear coated during the body off restoration.

In 2006 I sent the motor back out to the same professional engine builder to be professionally “de-tuned” with the intent to make it a drivable classic. With less than 2. 00 miles on the rebuild one now can simply turn the key to hear the roar of the motor. put in 93 octane. and even drive past gas stations. It runs strong and drives great; always turning many heads. Everyone asks about the car and it has won prestigious car shows.

There are some minor “road chips” in the paint but the paint and body are in very good condition. The interior has no cracks or rips and the carpet is in good condition with some fading on the carpeting in back of the seats. The glass and chrome are in very good condition as are the tires and rims. The car. in tribute to the L-88. is radio delete. has no power steering and the wipers are not functional (never seen the rain since 1996). All gauges work with the exception of the clock. These big blocks were known for overheating so I have put in a today's technology radiator as well as some other technology features to have a more pleasant driving experience. I have the build sheet. comprehensive service manual and over 70k in receipts.
