As long as there's gasoline in the pumps. people are going to drive Shoebox Chevys. This 1955 Chevrolet 210 2-door sedan. with its recent build. invites you out on to the open road and any place car guys gather to compare hardware. this car will be very welcome.


Finished in late 2012. this bright red 210 has a very professional look. making it the kind of car that always seems to collect the big trophies at shows. The 210 has a simpler look than the Bel Air and there are plenty of guys who will appreciate its more minimalist look. That doesn't mean plain. and you can clearly see in the photos that this car is impeccably finished with a lot of hours invested in the final paint job. The body fits together so well that the seams and gaps seem to disappear from certain angles and aside from the ultra-straight surface that's probably better than new. nothing has been modified or shaved. That's good news for fans of the '50s. because all the bright stainless trim and super sharp chrome details are 100% intact and wonderfully restored. The Chevrolet script is super crisp. the neat little emblems under the taillights are sharp. and the California-style 1-piece bumpers have an impossible shine.


The slick black interior has a 1950s vibe with a bit of an edge. The original bench is still in place and the stitching replicates the factory styling. but the materials and all the highly polished details give it a more custom look. There aren't many dashboards more attractive than the '55 Chevy's. so that was retained and restored to show standards. complete with the shiny band of metal trim that runs from end to end. The original steering wheel with bullet-shaped horn button was planted atop a shiny tilt steering column. and a trio of auxiliary gauges was installed in addition to the factory pieces. No self-respecting cruiser like this would be complete without a powerful A/C system. which is a low-profile under-dash setup that preserves the original dash's look. A custom AM/FM/cassette head unit was neatly slotted into the dash without any cutting required. which is important. and the back seat is big enough to bring your friends along when you go cruising. The trunk is also fully finished with black carpets and a tire cover for the full-sized spare.


Of course you already knew that you'd find a small block Chevy under the hood. a 327 in this case. Dripping with chrome. it looks every bit as great as it runs and you won't have to think twice about opening the hood at a show. There's nothing radical. just a proven reliable combination that has been dressed to the 9s. Stock ram's horn exhaust manifolds dump into a custom dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers. and a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission drives the original rear end. This was a frame-on build. but there's no need to restore something that's in such good condition. A fairly stock suspension means it rides and handles well enough to drive cross-country. and the 245/60/15 BFG radials on Torque Thrust wheels are the right choice.

TERMS OF SALE  

1. Per the eBay User Agreement. by placing a bid you are entering into a legally binding contract and are committed to purchasing the vehicle described above. The details of this commitment are further outlined in the eBay User Agreement.

2. Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

3. The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

4. A $1. 00 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction's close.   This deposit reserves the vehicle and removes it from the market. Acceptable payment types for deposit are: credit card. wire transfer. cashier's check. and money order.

5. If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

6. Streetside Classic Cars has represented this vehicle to the best of its ability. Prospective bidders are encouraged to contact us directly to provide additional information or answer any questions.

7. Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles. regardless of age. mileage. or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Streetside Classic Cars encourages bidder to have a personal inspection completed prior to delivery to help ensure your satisfaction. Third party inspections are to take place prior to a vehicles shipment or delivery.

8. All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied.

9. Final or winning bid price does not include shipping. tax. title. or registration fees. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide for any state or local taxes and shipping expenses resulting from the sale.

10. We can assist you in delivery through our network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody.

11. Streetside Classic Cars bears no liability and shall be held harmless for any complications. expenses. or damages resulting from a failure to meet these terms as they have been set forth and established herein.

12. An additional documentation fee of $199 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale.
