1960 CORVETTE VIN 00867S103249.

How often do C1's come along. and especially C1's in this condition and at this price?

WOW! Here's a car that really is an opportunity for someone. This car is a 1960 C1 Corvette.  The car is UK registered and the UK V5 is present & correct. I also have a copy of the US Title Deed. I have telephone Mr Frye. the last registered owner in Arizona. nbsp;and asked about this car's history. He advises that he recently purchased the car from the family of his next door neighbour. only to help out in the disposing of the car after the owner passed away. He believes that his deceased neighbour had owned the car from new. and get this. he further adds that the car had been in storage in the neighbour's garage for well over 30 years. yes - laid up for the last 30 years plus. I'm told Mr Frye dealt with the owner's son who evidently had the job of regularly starting the car in the latter years. I have a full print out giving all Mr Frye's contact details and I'm sure he will be happy to confirm all this with any new owner that makes contact.

THIS CAR IS MOT EXEMPT PLUS FREE ROAD TAX!

MILEAGE 78. 71 FROM NEW!

Breathtakingly time-warp original. this car is an original Tuxedo Black with red interior. 4-speed manual with factory heater and seat belts. The car really is a dry state garage find in the most original condition imaginable. The whole body is simply arrow straight with perfect body gaps throughout. Absolutely no evidence of damage anywhere. I've put a battery on it and the engine started first time and ticks over well. and I have no reason to doubt the drive-train whatsoever. In fact the engine is one of the sweetest I've heard in a long time and I'm pretty sure someone must have done a full job of re-commissioning it after it's long storage. The 1960 block casting 3756519 can clearly be read. The brakes have air in them and obviously require work. The original windscreen washer bottle is still in place plus the original brass rad complete with all it's shrouding. fan etc - simply time warp! Wipers work. lights work. I even think most of the gauges operate well.

Inside the trunk is superb although the ply-wood spare-wheel cover is missing as well as the floor mat. The spare rim is there but no tyre. The rear end bumperettes are not currently in place but there's a virtually new pair with the correct brackets laid in the trunk. These list at a massive $399. 99 EACH and I don't think the brackets are even available. Anyway. the full set is in the trunk and they're all in mint condition. There's no trunk lock currently in the lid but again. there's a brand new kit with keys supplied.

Other than the bad paintwork. there is the usual rot round the rear spring front mount areas especially. but nothing that can't be sorted. The exhaust seems OK. A lot of the bright-work is good. some you'd re-plate. Chrome to the rear lights is as new although the lenses are aged. I say that as the lenses are available on their own.  All the wheel trims and spinners are superb. The car obviously needs a full paint. it looks like it's had only one paint in it's life and I guess that must have been in the Seventies. It was in it's original black which has faded to a browner tinge over the years. if you think Ford Rio Brown you'll be nearer the mark. But after saying that it really does look like it's only had the one re-paint so there's very little to flat off or strip.  The windscreen & side glass are all good. Someone has spent a lot of time bringing the interior up to scratch and on the whole you could live with it. but you'd definitely do carpets. or you'd rip it all out and do the lot. It just depends what road you want to go down. I have to say the steering wheel. console area. instrument cluster. grab-bar area and the gauges in particular are all stunning.

THE BLACK SOFT-TOP & FRAME ARE SUPERB.

If you do decide to go down the body off route. then there's a new full body mounting kit. rubbers plus all hardware etc. all bagged new in the trunk and going with the car. all straight from Ecklers. In fact. on the subject of parts - avoid buying in the UK. Talk to me first and I'll tell you how to save a fortune bringing parts in yourself.

REMEMBER. IT'S NOT WHAT THIS CAR IS  -  IT'S WHAT IT CAN BECOME!

C1's don't often come along needing work. and when they do they're certainly not as super straight and original as this one. Yes it has bad paint. yes the brakes are down. and yes there's some frame welding to do. but this honestly is a one-off opportunity for someone out there to get on the C1 ladder while they still can. C1's in general are rocketing in price. just take a look yourself. This one is here in auction from a mere £23. 50. it won't be selling for less and it could easily do closer to £30. 00 or even more. depending how many folk spot the opportunity. If you want more pictures just let me know.

I WILL TAKE A P/X. ESPECIALLY ANOTHER CORVETTE. ANY YEAR. BUT PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE MUST OBEY EBAY RULES THROUGHOUT.

I CAN DELIVER.   If this helps then please provide your postcode for a price. As a guide I charge no more than the fuel my transporter uses.

FINALLY EXPORT.   If you are bidding from the EU then make sure you have a trailer to collect the car. I am only one hour from the Port of Immingham which is ideal for Gothenberg. Cuxhaven. Zeebruge. Rotterdam etc.

I can also deliver to Calais for you French buyers. just make sure you have a trailer to meet me there!
