This 1969 Cutlass convertible is an excellent Hurst Olds tribute carefully replicating the original 1969 Hurst Olds Convertibles. of which only three were ever produced (one of the three was destroyed) becoming one of the most sought after muscle cars in the industry valued at well over $200. 00.
This stunning tribute was carefully built to provide high authenticity. it is powered by a period-correct 455 V-8 engine with "C" heads.
The rear end is an open (non-Safe-T-Track) differential with highway-friendly gears. believed 2. 73:1. fitted.  
A floor shifter controls the transmission from a Hurst center console.
The Exterior is finished in Cameo White and complimented with the correct Firefrost Gold stripes. with real pin striping delineating the transition zone between the two colors. wow! 
Less than 56. 00 original miles have been traveled on this convertible and it runs out strong.

LEGENDARY HURST OLDS HISTORY

While Oldsmobile is believed to have created the first "muscle car" in 1949. it was not until 1964 that it returned to the concept. encouraged by the remarkable success of Pontiac's GTO option.
Oldsmobile was in fact the first GM division to follow Pontiac's lead and began in 1964 with the $136 RPO B09 option package. also known as the "Police Apprehender Pursuit" package on the new F-85 Cutlass intermediates.
Logically. the 442 nameplate signified the car's four-barrel carburetor. four-speed manual transmission. and dual exhaust system.

Returning for 1965. the 442 option featured 400 cubic-inch power and while its output was competitive with the GTO. the 442's excellent balance and handling won it heady praise in the motoring press.
Sales rose steadily through the 1960s. thanks to stronger marketing and the growing reputation of the 442. which was referred to as "the thinking man's GTO. " The 442 gained series status within the Oldsmobile line-up for 1968. the year which also marked a major restyling with a handsome aircraft fuselage-inspired design theme.
George Hurst's always-innovative Hurst Performance moved beyond subcontract work for 1968 with the debut of the Hurst/Olds. a true "gentleman's hot rod" with Oldsmobile's top 455 cubic-inch V-8 at its core. with special paint and identification badges. heavy-duty underpinnings. a sporty Hurst Dual/Gate shifter for the Turbo-Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission. and much more.
Delivering 380 horsepower and 500 pounds-feet of torque in 1969. the Hurst/Olds was a brutal performer and remains a limited-production muscle car legend today.

Arizona Titled 56291 Original Miles as Validated on Official Title Retro California Black Plate comes with the car Lots of cool nostalgic advertisements come with the car. Original Documentation and Build Sheets also included. Photos of car disassembled and in restoration are also included. Large professionally done Poster Board speaking to the rarity and merits of the car comes along with it. The Exterior Paint is very respectable. not show quality of course but very nice with only a few small nicks and chips. The Exterior chrome. trim. emblems and stainless are all very tidy as well. The Interior is a combination of old and new materials and is very nicely finished and respectable. no obviously flaws or tears. The Power Top works exceptionally well. the soft top is brand new and the mechanism is all refinished inside. It works as well as any top we have seen. The large Hurst Door Decal is magnetic and removable . two are provided. This decal provides the option to be used or removed depending on the venue its displayed at and also the owners taste. If desired we can produce and apply an Original Permanent Decal to each door prior to delivery. The Chassis is very clean and solid as you can see from the photos. The Engine Compartment is super original and tidy. showing price of ownership and maintenance. Power Steering Power Brakes Original Air Condition car . which need to be serviced. The Olds overall is just a really tight and tidy car. it drives our beautifully and performed flawlessly for us. Its certainly one that will impress and win trophies at any Show and Shine.
