I am listing this car for a very good friend of mine. Here is a chance to own a real piece of Hot Rodding history. I will answer all questions to the best of my ability. and the owner's cell phone is 978-314-5972. Feel free to call him with any questions you may have.   He would also consider interesting trades.  I will forward any emails I get to him.    One of us will be certain to get back to you in a timely fashion.   Good luck bidding.  Here is his description and brief history of this .    "Here are some photos of the Car . ith a couple photos  from 1948. and one from 1957. and the history as I know it. The b & w photos are El Mirage. 1948. when it ran a flathead ( these are out of Don Montgomery's book. The guy. second from the right is John Wolfe. who owned the car. One of the guys on the left owned the engine. and another guy drove it. This was a pretty common practice back then. As of last year. John Wolfe was still alive in Ca.
The car was built around 1955 by Charles Lee. a HS shop teacher at Washington Union HS in Easton. Ca. . and was painted in the school colors. He must have been fairly well off. as you can see it's a pretty high end build for the period. He was only 24 when he died in 1957 when he skidded off the road in his brand new Corvette. His parents were devastated. and stored the car in their garage. until the father died in the late '60's. The car then bounced around Ca. . before being sold to a guy in NJ in '99. I bought it out of NJ two years ago. It's remarkable in that. other than some re-spray on the nose. wiring. and
brake work. it's pretty much exactly as it was built in '55. The interior was done by Cookie's in Fresno. and is totally original. Period SW gauges. . '41 Ford super DeLuxe steering wheel. The basic specs are as follows: Totally original body with no rust. or patch panels. electric solenoid doors. 324" Olds. Horne 4 carb manifold [ 1 of only 100 made]. solid lifter cam. McGurk magnesium rocker arms. Olds Hydramatic. '48 Ford truck rear w / open driveshaft. Dropped. filled. chromed axle. Painted 4 piece hood w/ chromed louvers. The hood has been repainted sometime in the past. Please call me at  978-314-5972 with any questions about this true nostalgia Hot Rod "
