My father was the 2nd owner of this 1940 Chevy Master Deluxe in the rare business coupe configuration which omitted the rear seat for storage space. He purchased it from the widow of the original owner in 1968 and it has been in his garage ever since. It has 73. 00 original miles and was driven in a parade 2 years ago. He drove it yearly in parades to promote his insurance agency. It is original and complete with the exception of the windshield wiper blades which were stolen while it was on display. We have not tried to start it but as I said my father drove it in a parade 2 years ago. The paint looks to be a 2nd coat and has several places where it has chipped. The car is extremely solid with some rust on the underside of the front floorpans and running boards. They are still solid. The interior is all original and all the controls and upholstery are in amazing condition for being 75 years old. Headliner is also all there and intact. The passenger door panel has a water stain. What I believe is the original jack and tool set is in the trunk. Trunk floor is solid. A very rare car in very rare complete and original condition that has not been monkeyed with. Perfect candidate for a complete restoration. It is in Boone Iowa and transportation is the buyers responsibility. My father passed away a year ago and I am selling it for my mother. It is sold as is and where is. We have the clear title in hand and the car has a current tag and registration. Call me with question at 913-915-5196.
