1956 Ford Truck Custom CabF100
This truck is claimed to be an original truck sold brand new in Arizona.  It has never left the state.  It is 99% rust free because of that.  It has been parked since 1991 when the original owner passed away and the AZ sun worked its magic on the red paint for a beautiful patina.  The truck came with the 272 "Y" block with the rare Ford-O-Matic transmission.  Less than 10% of the trucks came with that option.  The interior has been redone and is as close a match to the original material that was used.  How do we know that?  The seat still had some of the material left which enabled us to match it.  A very long time ago the owner was given an old wood gun rack.  It has been in the truck nearly the entire life of the truck.  It's still there.  You can keep it or take it out.  The farm bumper was removed from the back and a chrome one was added and the front was replaced to match.  The wood bed was rotten as you can imagine.  The AZ sun was not kind.  We took it out and found some reclaimed Vertical Grain Fir from old bleachers at local Arizona high school.  The reclaimed wood was a perfect choice for this truck.  The tight grain material and the age prove to be the best choice for this truck.  If you notice in the pictures of the bottom of the bed. you will still see the painted seat numbers or carved names into the wood. It was hand rubbed with 4 coats of tung oil.  The original bed strips were cleaned up a little then reused for character.   The rims were cleaned and painted.  New radial tires were installed and hubcaps.  The wiring has been cleaned up and some old wires replaced.  All the glass is brand new and all the rubber seals have been replaced.   I can't explain how awesome this truck is.  I really wish I could keep it.
Unfortunately when we looked into the motor. the engine needed to be rebuilt.  That left us with a difficult decision that frankly we couldn't make.  So here is where you get to participate in the completion of this truck.  We still have the motor of course.  But we thought we would give you the choice of having the old 272 "Y" block rebuilt and the tranny rebuilt or we would install a little more muscle and have a 351 Cleveland with an automatic transmission installed.  We would need 7-10 days to get it installed and make sure everything was working correctly and that all the brakes and gauges worked also.  But it would be ready to cruise when done.
Don't miss out on this rare opportunity of such an original and amazing truck.  These are getting so hard to find in this shape that have not been cut up or hot rodded.  This truly is one of a kind.
