For auction is my 1966 XP Falcon. The car has had a ground up bare metal rotisserie restoration approximately 10 years ago. Since restoration the car has always been garaged and rarely driven. I estimate no more than 20000Kms since build. Every nut and bolt has either been replaced or electroplated back to as new condition. All seals were replaced. The body is straight and the paint is still very shiny. worth mentioning is that the paint is acrylic so takes a bit more looking after than 2K. The chrome work is in very good condition. The interior has been re-trimmed and still presents like new. The car is on full NSW registration and all modifications have been engineered and approved; comprehensive engineers report comes with the car. The car is currently unregistered and will be registered on sale so the high bidder will get the full 12 months of rego. The modifications include. The engine is a rebuilt 289 Windsor which has been balanced and reconditioned to as new condition. The heads are ported original cast heads with the largest possible stainless valves fitted. Crane 1. 7 ratio roller rockers are also fitted. The engine sounds excellent with a true V8 sound gets comments wherever I take it. The drivetrain is a rebuilt shift kitted C4 auto with a 2500RPM high stall converter fitted. The tail-shaft has been shortened to suit. The rear is a 3. 7 ratio LSD 9 inch (less than 10000kms). The high HP engine. diff ratio and light weight of the car make it a quick car; that said the car has never been raced just used as a weekend cruiser. The brakes on the front are twin piston callipers and rear brakes are drums. the brake system is dual circuit boosted on the front only. The car stops very well with the current brake setup and I have never experienced any brake fade. it pulls up hard if required. The electrical system is complete custom hidden wiring with remote central locking and a dual circuit immobiliser. The cooling system has a massive alloy radiator and twin thermo fan setup. even on the hottest summer day the car will not overheat no matter how it's used ie it will idle in traffic indefinitely on a 40 degree day. Steering is a Revelation Racing Supplies power rack and pinion which makes the car very precise to steer (approximately 2 turns lock to lock). the power steering makes it a pleasure even at slow speeds. The suspension has been upgraded less than 5000kms ago with reset rear springs new front springs and shocks fitted. all bushes were also replaced. The car rides very well and sits flat and low. I didn't have any photos of the underside of the car but it also presents like new. I have spent a fortune on this car over the years and have been constantly improving it since restoration. it is a car that is ready to simply get in and drive and enjoy with all of the teething problems associated with any build ironed out.
