Let's start with what was done: The body was taken down to the sub-frame. body panels refit and straightened. passenger front floor board replaced. This was a solid car to start with with minimal bondo needed - just enough to even out body panels. The only rust was the passenger floor -and it was repaired/replaced. I just got it out of paint with a period correct Ford white paint job. All new weatherstrip including the vent windows. door felts (beltline strips) hood. doors. trunk and ALL windows - ALL weatherstrip is NEW. All body panels were refit for correct placement and finish prior to paint. This is a STRAIGHT body! New exterior rocker trim was installed along with a new grille. Now to the mechanics: First off. the motor was swapped. It had the original 289 in it but we didn't like how the rods and caps felt so it came out. We had a 5. 0 302 c. i. GT motor that we had built for a Galaxy 500 project that we used for this Mustang project. The buyer of the Galaxy wanted a 289 put in it so this 5. 0 went into the Mustang! Motor has approximately 4000 miles on it currently. We placed a new Carter 600 cfm Carb on it. new points. plugs. condenser. wires. cap and rotor and coil - complete tune-up done. New fuel tank. pump and sending unit installed - along with new fuel lines - NO leaks here! New billet pulleys up front. new water pump/gasket. new temperature gauge sending unit. new 3 core all aluminum radiator. new fan and fan clutch. new fan shroud. Did I mention the new A/C? It is made to look like the old style the dealers used to install but uses 134 freon. It will FREEZE you out! New heater and defroster plenums. heater fan cleaned and reinstalled. To match the motor. we installed a heavy-duty clutch/pressure plate assembly. new starter and flywheel. This is a STRONG clutch pedal! Remember - it is the original manual 3 speed top-loader and MANUAL clutch - NOT hydraulic. It has new intake and exhaust gaskets matched to the long headers and new true dual exhaust that come out the back with turn-down tips. We then replaced the u-joints. rear transmission seal. rear end seal. axle seals. serviced the O-ring and pinion gear and installed NEW axle bearings to both axles. This Mustang has MANUAL brakes. All of the brake system has been replaced - all the way around - new drums. shoes. wheel cylinders. master cylinder. all new brake lines ran. new E-brake - total car brake job - along with all new front wheel bearings. Front end was gone through - tie rod ends replaced. upper and lower ball joints replaced. all new upgraded shocks front and back and a front-end alignment done. It steers straight and rides smoothly - just the rumble of the drive-train!  All wiring was cleaned using the original harness. reinstalled along with complete new front and rear lights/housings/bulbs. All lights work as they are supposed to and all gauges are funtional. New blinker unit installed. new starter solenoid installed. Even the Windshield washers were restored with new pump and washer fluid bag! New wiper arms and wiper blades installed. The interior was gutted. the interior was dynamatted completely. a rear seat steel divider was installed and dynamatted and the trunk was dynamatted. The interior has new carpet. new door sills. new door paint. ORIGINAL poppy red bucket seats and rear bench was used. new matching door panels and arm rests installed. new ignition switch. new light switch. new windshield wiper/washer switch (2 speed wipers with washers). new shifter boot. new headliner. new rear view mirror. new sun visors. new rear tray shelf (with 6x9's installed/waiting to be hooked up). all new door handles and window cranks. new door lock pulls and seats. new glove box liner. new OEM-style dashpad (not the cheapy one). new exterior door handles and new exterior outside mirrors. We even installed new coat hangers inside! This interior has been gone through! It does have the original radio in it but it is non-functional. New Grant steering wheel and hub adapter. All new exterior badges have been applied - it even has new horns! Now to the bad - it needs to have a new gauge bezel and gauge plastic (approx cost around $60 for both). a new glove box door ($50). an ash tray and it needs an antenna and radio replacement. It needs those things  - THAT'S ALL!! This is not a project car. You can drive this anywhere. The motor runs great. the brakes work properly. manual steering and transmission. manual clutch - there is nothing in this car that can go horribly wrong! It has all new tires! There has been less than 500 miles since completion. I know I have listed alot here - lots to take in - but we wanted this Mustang to be right - and it is! You can email me with any questions regarding things I might have missed here. I do have the original front and rear BENCH seat that was in this car that I would sell with the car if wanted. It does need to recovered but I understand it is rather rare. That can be discussed with new owner. And yes - you can drive this car ANYWHERE - especially home! And yes. it is pretty darn quick! I forgot to mention - I have no spare and no jack but I do have the trunk dressing kit - still in the package. It takes a 14" rim so if someone has one. email me!
