It is just one of those iconic cars that most everyone in the hobby recognizes. The fine convertible you see here is one of the most beautiful 1940 Fords ever made. The elegant. flowing lines. iconic grille. and sculpted fenders are to this day one of the most handsome designs ever in the auto industry.   One very interesting fact is only 23. 04 convertibles were produced out of 541. 96 total units for 1940.    This convertible is not a trailer queen but a very nice showable driver. it has a 221 ci famous Flathead V-8 motor rated at 85 horsepower (nothing sounds like a flathead. I love em. The engine bay is nicely detailed. freshly tuned. and running great. It is mated to a smooth shifting 3 speed manual transmission and first year with column operated shifter. The immaculate interior is just like it would have come back in the day and looks fantastic. The bench seat is very comfortable and covered in correct fabrics. The dash is uncut and void of modifications. The cloth top is manual and in excellent shape with a glass back window and matching boot. The wide white tires. fender skirts. and fog lamps really look great on a car like this. The chassis is super clean and is show quality front to back.
