You are bidding on a Mercedes Benz 450 SL 1977 in excellent condition inside and out.

Body: mint. no accidents. no rust. absolutely no dents. dings or scratches!!! Glass in excellent shape.

Paint: hyper glossy burgundy paint. Paint looks excellent all around; Vehicle has been repainted with Glasurit paint and clear coat (label still in the glove box with paint type & code) then wet sanded and polished. Exterior: all moldings (chrome and plastic) in excellent shape. bumpers and bumper moldings in very good shape. lights and plastics in very good shape with no fading or cracking.

Undercarriage: In excellent shape. completely original. free of rust and with its original undercoating.

Chrome:in excellent shape inside and out.

Wheels: original alloy wheels in excellent shape structurally and cosmetically. No curb damage.

Engine: Excellent. Always starts fine. idles smooth. runs smooth and extremely powerful. doesn't burn or take any oil.   Absolutely no leaks of any kind!!

Automatic Transmission: Excellent. Shifts smooth and precise. Fluid is Crystal Clear. No noises or weird sounds!!. no leaks!! Recently serviced: Oil. filter. seals and gaskets.

Suspension and Steering: Excellent ride. feel solid and stable even at high speed on the freeway. All suspension components are tight. Alignment was performed when inspected.

Brakes:Excellent condition. nbsp;Car brakes straight with no vibrations or noises. Rotors and brake pads in excellent shape with approx. +80% left.

Instruments and Warning lights: All in perfect working condition. All external lights. turn signals. hazard lights. high beams. fog lights. instrument cluster lights in perfect working condition. Clock is working too!. Speedometer and odometer are working perfectly.

Climate Control: Air conditioning blows COLD and heater works fine.

Interior: Original seats in excellent shape. German Velour carpeting in excellent shape. Headliners in excellent shape. dashboard in excellent shape. center console in excellent shape. door panels in excellent shape.   Chrome accents in excellent condition. Interior looks like new. This is a non-smoker vehicle!

Tires: Almost new Kuhmotires in four corners. Spare tire in good shape.

Tops: Hard top in excellent condition with glossy paint (chrome moldings in good shape). Soft top is brand new (premium German canvas type). tan color. clear plastic windows are in excellent shape. Original top removal tool is included.

Headliners: both in excellent shape (soft and hard tops).

Power features: All power equipment in perfect working condition: power windows. power locks. power steering. I have not tested the cruise control yet. will try it this week and list its condition.

Sound System: Original German Becker Europa Stereo works great. Hirschman power automatic antenna in perfect working condition.

Defects: There is one small ding (hardly noticeable) in the right rear fender (can be removed using paintless dent removal system.

Miscellaneous: Jack and wheel wrench are also included. A CD with complete service & shop repair manual is included with the vehicle. Original tool set and all factory original manuals and booklets are also included.

Registration: Vehicle is currently registered in California and passed smogged test off course. No fees due.

Car History: Car was donated to a Charity Foundation by its owner. I‘m unable to contact the owner to get more info about the car as the Charity has a privacy policy that does not allow to contact the donors. Maintenance booklet shows every single service done to the car up to 75. 00 miles at the Mercedes Dealer. Included with the vehicle is a thick folder with copies of invoices for thousands of dollars in new parts that were stored in the trunk.

Inspection: The car was inspected by a certified mechanic and he stated that it was a extremely well maintained car. no leaks of any kind.  All vacuum lines in perfect shape. almost new distributor cap and wires. brakes pads and rotors in like new shape. undercarriage with absolutely no rust. no accident damage and no signs of any repair done. shocks in excellent condition. Compression test has been performed with a reading of 119 to 121 psi on all cylinders. exactly what Mercedes Benz considers normal for a healthy engine (21 psi is the permissible difference between individual cylinders). Belts and hoses in very good shape. antifreeze within specifications. Oil and filter change was performed when inspected. Wheel alignment performed when inspected.

This 37 years old jewel drives excellent. looks nice and needs virtually nothing!!

I describe the vehicle as accurately as possible; however there is no possible way to know everything about a vehicle that has been previously driven subjected to normal wear and tear. both cosmetically and mechanically. Mileage believed to be accurate according the condition of the car. but I cannot certify it (unable to run Carfax report due to vehicle age).

Terms of Sale:

A $500 deposit is required immediately after the auction ends. Vehicle is sold as is. No warranty. Balance due within 7 days and payable in cash. cashier's check. or wire transfer. Wire transfer preferred. Note: Cashier's checks usually take longer to clear (California banks place up to 10 days hold on out of state cashiers checks due to fraud protection policies). Car will be released once funds clear in my account.
