SELLER REMARKS

There's a reason you're seeing more and more of these Ford pickups moving through the Streetside Classics showroom: they're fantastic hobby vehicles. This 1967 Ford Ranger XLT has a sporty look. yet with an 8-foot bed. it's still ready to work as hard as any truck on the market today. Of course. it's so nice you'll think twice about that next load of gravel. but the point is. this truck can do more than your average hobby vehicle. Lots more.

The red-over-white paint scheme is how this Ford was originally delivered and looks as good today as it did when it was new. We're guessing that this truck was one of those rare machines that was indeed purchased as daily transportation rather than as a work vehicle. something that was nowhere near as common in 1967 as it is today. But the result is that you have a straight body. a bed that hasn't been bashed and bruised. and a nice group of options. You'll note that they kept original-style paint. resisting the urge to add more metallic. and all the trim was removed. polished. and reinstalled once the paint was dry. As a top-of-the-line XLT. there's plenty of the shiny stuff. ranging from both bumpers to the big side mirrors to the stainless trim that runs the length of the body. A snug-fitting black tonneau cover offers some protection and security for cargo and the bed itself wears spray-in bedliner material. so you don't have to worry about tossing stuff in there.

Red cloth is a bold choice. but again. that's how this truck was originally outfitted. The seat cover is a modern replacement that looks great. and matching carpets are protected by a big rubber mat that is also a quality reproduction piece. The slender steering wheel is simply gorgeous and perhaps too nice to be original and the crisp markings on the gauges suggest that someone was spending a lot of money while this truck was being refurbished. Rare accessories include the under-dash A/C. a period-correct Sun tachometer on the steering column. and a black carpet dash cover that's there simply to protect the original piece from the sun. A newer AM/FM/CD stereo head unit was stuffed into the dash to make this truck a fantastic and comfortable long-distance cruiser that truly asks for zero compromise. Who needs a modern truck when the old ones are this good?

Ford's torquey 390 cubic inch V8 is linked to a heavy-duty 3-speed automatic transmission. which means it's easy to drive and an effective tow vehicle with its Class III hitch. The engine is very nicely detailed with Ford Blue engine paint. finned valve covers. and a chrome air cleaner which all look right for the truck's age. You'll note power steering (with its own cooler!) and power brakes are included. and with Sanderson long-tube headers and glasspack-style mufflers. it has a pretty wicked sound. With 3. 25 gears in the 9-inch rear. it's also a pleasant highway cruiser and the flashy late-model wheels look great. especially with 255/70/15 Firestone radials wrapped around them.

Look at the quality. the functionality. and then the price. Where else are you going to get this much truck with great looks for so little cash? Call today!
